Darkpelt looked at her as she questioned him. He let out a sigh and suddenly felt defensive. He didn't want to tell a young apprentice whom he'd only just met what had really happened. So instead he told her the answer, but not all of it. "Yes. I... I was a clan cat. Still am, in my opinion. My clan was good to me. They were very good to me; I wasn't kicked out. No one forced me. It's just... ah... Well, something happened. That's why I am here, looking for a new home. Have been for three moons now.." he explained, leaving out the important details of what had actually happened to Stoneclan.

Mysticpaw blinked her clear blue eyes as Darkpelt seemed to struggle to explain his circumstances. She nodded.
"I see...then I wont ask anymore. Are you hungry?" she asked suddenly changing the subject with a twitch of her pale tail.

Darkpelt was glad she didn't ask anymore from him regarding his past. He blinked at her and flicked the tip of his tail. He nodded slightly. "A little bit," he admitted. But that was a lie; he wasn't hungry, he was starving. He had been too worn-out and too beat to be able to hunt properly for the past two weeks and basically only found one thing to eat every two or three days. Now that his stomach had gotten used to such neglect, it only felt hollow and empty. But he gave no clear indication of this and kept his facial expression mysterious.

Mysticpaws eyes twinkled with an unamed emotion as she checked to make sure there was no nearby night patrol.
"You know...I wonder why you remind me of someone." she murmured in thought as she scented no clan mates nearby.

Darkpelt looked at her with an intense gaze; dark blue but seeming black in the night. "Oh?" He blinked, wondering who on earth he could be like in this new clan.

"But..." the apprentice hesitates, "It is probably just my mind wandering to things i dont understand~ I'll be back with something for you to eat in a moment Darkpelt." Mysticpaw promised as scampered off into the darkness.

In the cover of a fallen log Mysticpaw had stalked a night grazing mouse just on the other side. Her thoughts wandered to the reason she had been out here in the first place. To sit on the edge of the territory to wait for something...Looks like that something finally appeared too. Pouncing, the she-cat trapped the little mouse between her claws and killed it. What she was doing now also broke the warrior code, hunting and feeding a stranger, but technically he was a warrior so it should be fine. As long as the other warriors dont find out.

Wolfheart smiled and picked up his speed to trot after her, slowing his pace only when he neared the shoreline to pad alongside her through the cool sand. He turned his muzzle towards Moonshade as she spoke. "That it is." Just like you.. He continued to gaze at her as she looked at him. He looked back towards the shimmering lake after a few moments. "So.. Did you want to just sit by the water or did you want to continue walking along the shore?"

"Hmm.." Hawkfeather thought for a moment before he opened his mouth to speak. "Well, I'll be honest. I have no idea what she could mean either.. Do you think it's more bad news or will it be something good?" He had his gaze in the pretty she-cat as she looked into the water. He shook his head slightly, trying to concentrate not on her but on helping her with the prophetic words of her mother. Okay, seriously, what in StarClan's name is wrong with me? I never have trouble focusing but tonight I'm just scatterbrained.. Hawkfeather looked back towards Lightheart and recalled what Lionclaw had said to him, admitting he was right. She was running through all of his thoughts and making his fur tingle in an unfamiliar way. He looked away again with silent sigh.

(( ~Faylin River~ has Ashclaw. They've just been busy. And Camo, it's on the front. It's not that hard to look for it... I mean I put links and everything. That's the whole point of why I did it. Nothing major is happening so far so it doesn't really matter who leader is. I'll just switch Lighteningstar and Ashclaw's roles. What's his warrior name so I can put him as deputy? ))

"Whatever," she shrugged as she responded. "We can walk along the shoreline, I guess. The weather's absolutely perfect; I wish green-leaf was the extent of our seasons so we never had to go through the cold," she mewed, eyes catching each glimmer of light that bounced off the rippling water in the night. She let out a satisfied sigh as she padded slowly across the sand, feeling more relaxed than she had in a really long time. She walked alongside Wolfheart, and glanced at him, smiling. "We hardly ever got to do this much. Between training and taking care of elders and queens and everything, we'd get in trouble if we were out for very long. Now we don't have as many restrictions. Plus, you're deputy.." she trailed off, feeling a little sad that this may be one of the few nights she'd actually have her old friend to herself since he was going to be so much busier now. "Deputy... Still not exactly used to that!" she laughed. Wolfstar. She liked the sound of that.
She grinned at the ground as she walked on the sand, hardly sinking into it's depths like most would. Her delicate, soft paws made little paw prints in the white shores by Wolfheart's own trail. "What... What does it feel like? To be deputy now, I mean," she asked quietly. The soft rush of the waves brushing up against the shore beside them and the faint song of crickets a way off created a peaceful, mysterious atmosphere.

The small, white she-cat let out an annoyed sigh. "I want to say something good. I do. But I know I'm wrong. Something is coming to affect both our clans badly; I just don't know what. Hopefully they'll give more clues than that," she grumbled, glancing up through the hole in the ceiling towards the sky; a little irritated spark flashing through her midnight-blue eyes. She looked back down into the pool, as if there might be something in there for her, but nothing. Nothing else. Her dark gaze crept up to Hawkfeather's face, amazed at how troubled he looked though she was the one that received the warning. She just smiled and shook her head, not knowing what to think. She stretched and looked at him once more, laying her bristling tail back on the ground.
It fell without her caring and brushed against the tom's own as it touched the ground. The moment they touched, Lightheart felt an electric spark pass through her and she jumped in surprise at the small pain. The moon was covered almost instantly by a cloud passing by, concealing it from view. The Mistclan medicine cat's breath was quick as she stared at him, eyes wide with confusion and shock. She stared at him in silence.
