{{Well.. Yesterday didn't really go as planned. Sorry bout that Dark ^^' I can't spend too much time on this but I wanted to get a post in for you. Sorry it's a little later than I said..

Wolfheart laughed with delight as Moonshade raced ahead of him and he picked up his speed, the fresh night breeze winding around him and through his fur. His paws set up a rhythm against the forest floor and he ran. He smiled as he saw Moonshade fly over the log ahead of him. He hadn't really expected to win. She was faster than him and he knew that. As Wolfheart neared the tree, the tom pushed against the ground and tucked his forelegs up to his chest to keep clear of the log as he leaped over. His tail lifted slightly, helping him to balance on the landing. He looked over to Moonshade, panting and with a wide grin on his face. "I didn't even have a chance there, did I?" He laughed lightly. "You always did beat me when we were apprentices. It seems nothing has changed." He shook out his fur and looked ahead. "Almost there. Shall we?"

Hawkfeather cocked his head, doubtful. He lowered his haunches to sit beside her. "Well.. You wanna talk about it? Maybe I can help you so you're not so confused." He moved his tail away from her and wrapped it around his paws. "I mean, if you want.." {{I've been sitting here staring at this for like ten minutes trying to think of something to write.. o-o}}

Darkpelt panted now, limping slightly. In the light, you'd be able to see many battle scars and a dirty, ragged pelt. But now, he just looked like a plain shadow wandering the night. He blinked, seeing a light smudge in the distance and crouched awkwardly, but he could tell he was probably already detected. His breath was raspy and it hurt when he breathed in. The handsome, young tomcat moved on towards the creature and could almost instantly tell it was a cat as the breeze blew his way. He stopped a few tail-lengths away and murmured, "I'm deeply sorry for intruding on your territory. I mean no harm and I only come for help. Um, are you a... clan cat, by any chance?"

Moonshade waited for him as she caught her breath and smiled when he landed beside her, grinning along. She laughed and said, "Nope!" She licked one paw and traced it along one ear to smooth it down and glanced at the twinkling stars, mesmerized by the thousands... or more... that always sparkled overhead. She looked back down and smiled a little sadly in the darkness. "Yeah. I did," she mumbled in faint amusement. She stood and shook out her pelt, feeling refreshed all of a sudden. "Alright. Let's go." She trotted across the small clearing and paused at it's edge in which the treeline appeared once more and waited for him to reach her side before continuing on. She padded alongside her friend, feeling happier than she had in moons.
After a long while of walking in the night's darkness, she started to catch a glimpse of a far-off moving surface past the trees ahead; glittering with moonlight. The Lake.

(( let's say Darkpelt & Mysticpaw are in a seperate part of the lake's shore than Moonshade & Wolfheart. Dark and Mysticpaw are near the river; Wolfheart and Moonshade aren't. ))

A small smile appeared in the starlight as Mysticpaw listened to the cat. She got to her paws lightly and walked over to him. The cat was barely noticeable in the darkness, yet she could tell he was exhausted. So in a small voice to ease his worries she greeted him.
"Welcome to Mistclan...Do you want to rest here?" she asked.

The young tom let out a breath of relief. Mistclan... He liked the sound of that. I was right. A clan did live here! He smiled, but figured she didn't see it. "Thank you but no. I'd rather just keep on going. I feel that if I lay down here and now, I won't get up," he laughed softly. He looked around in the darkness but could tell what was around him. He could hear the small bubbling of a river pouring into the lake beside him and the strong, comforting scents of pine and deciduous trees.

Wolfheart walked beside Moonshade again, breathing in the fresh air and just enjoying the night and the pleasure of her company. They walked quietly along on the path and soon spotted the water far up ahead. It shone in the moonlight and reflected the stars up above in the night sky. He smiled and looked at Moonshade. "There it is." He continued to pad forward towards the mass of water, getting closer every minute.

"If you don't get any rest at all you won't be able to get back up ever again." Mysticpaw mewed amusedly to the older tom and flicked her tail.
"Though my clan doesn't take kindly to strangers, you have a better chance at resting here then in the other nearby clan."

"There it is," she echoed, nodding. She picked up her pace to trot along towards the quiet lake. A faint smile appeared on her lips when she slowed at the shoreline, happy to feel the soft, white sand bury her paws. She let out a content sigh, happy she was here; it was her most favourite part in the territory. The huge expanse of water glittered with the shattered reflections of the moon and stars. It was dark and eerie but familiar and beautiful at the same time. Moonshade turned to look at Wolfheart, feeling like she was stuck in a daze. "It's such a beautiful night.." she murmured to her friend, memories of doing this as apprentices flashing through her mind.

Lightheart looked at Hawkfeather, smiling slightly. "Ok." She looked at her paws, then sat up from her uncomfortable lying position. As she took in a breath, she stared into the pool, rethinking what had just happened. "My mother visited me. For the first time, actually. She told me... to be careful and be alert for anything and anyone. She said there was something coming. It's going to affect the clan... I just don't know what on earth she meant."

Darkpelt sighed. With a flick of his ear, he gave up. "Alright, fine. I'll stay here for the night, then," he mumbled, smiling tiredly. His ears pricked at the sound of 'another clan'. "Nearby clan? There are more than one here?" He had grown in a small, happy clan with practically no neighbouring ones; the young tom wasn't used to hearing about rival clans. He spotted a small ditch under a thicket bush and figured it would do for a den. He yawned and said, "Thank you... for this. If you don't mind me asking, erm, what's your name?"

The apprentice smiled at her victory in convincing the tom to stop for the night & walked with him deeper into her clans' territory for a place for him to rest comfortably. Mysticpaw nodded and explained to the stranger about the more fight ready Flameclan just on the other side of the river when he asked. Then once they found a spot he asked her for her name.
"My name is Mysticpaw, an apprentice, what is your name?" she asked in a quiet voice.

Darkpelt settled down stiffly and started to lick his wounds gently, treating them as if they were nothing. His eyes felt heavy but he forced them open as she spoke of Flameclan, feeling mesmerized by the story. Nothing like Stoneclan... he though sadly. He nodded when she was finished, and then gave him her name. Mysticpaw. The black tomcat liked the sound of that. He smiled. "That's a very pretty name. I am Darkpelt."

"Thank you." she mewed as response to Darkpelts comment of her name. Sitting down nearby she watched him curiously.
"Where did you come from? You have a warriors name and obvious knowledge of clans...are you perhaps a warrior? Or were you forced out of your clan?" she asked.
