Emerald caught the bag with a grunt and then followed Arrowin out to the courtyard, taking hold of Envy. John was dead? How did he die? Kyle turned? Their dear little Kyle had turned? Why? What had they done to him? But before Emerald could ask any questions Arrowin was riding off. Emerald threw the bag down and tried to go after her, but what was the use? She was on a horse and all Emerald had was feet. "ARROWIN!" Emerald screamed out into the forest, clinging to the gates at the front of the castle. Where was she going? What was she doing? She couldn't go off alone! Was she insane? Emerald looked back at Frank, confusion, worry and anger written all over her face. What was going on? Things had been going so perfect! They were so close, so very very close, and then all the sudden it's all just gone.

Arowin waited for the stupid guards to arrive but when they didn't she got annoyed and rode forward with a torch in her hand into the very village center where the hanging tree was. Arowin then tossed the torch into it setting it ablaze to. "I challenge the King to send his best man after me!" she shouted aloud catching the attention of the guards before wheeling Ace around and galloping out of the village back to the farm where she waited in a field on a hill looking down on the village. Ace was faster than any of the King's horses and they where all stolen leaving every guard to give chase on foot. Arowin would lead them into the south of the forest keeping just ahead of them to lead them on, she only hoped that the Huntsman would understand why she was doing this. Emerald and Frank needed the head start. With Frank's health they would not be able to ride as swiftly as Arrowin currently was and they would need the head start.

As they walked through the village, a sudden group of the King's knights ran past them, shouting and looking mighty angry. The Huntsman looked over to where they were heading to see a fire, a large one. The hanging tree was on fire as well, but something bigger was catching the guards attention. He knew someone must have done it and who else but Arrowin. "Huntsman, you see that, don't you?" he asked, snatching two horses away from a village cart. He handed the reigns to one of them to the Huntsman and then mounted his own. "Aye." the Huntsman replied, mounting his own horse. Finnick looked over at him, a dark smirk on his lips. "Shall we join them?" Without waiting for an answer Finnick took off towards the farm fire, the Huntsman right on his tail.

Arowin felt Ace fidgeting under her, ready to run, eager for it even. It had been a while since he had been allowed a good chase, a game of cat and mouse in the midnight forest. The guards started swarming towards the fires and the field like ants pouring out of a nest. Suddenly Arowin noticed two figures on horseback brake free from the group. Even in the dancing shadows of the blazes Arowin recognized the Huntsman. The figure beside him had to be this Finnick he had spoken of. Arowin waited letting them get closer until she could see their faces before spurring Ace around and darting into the forest, winding through the trees allowing her chasers to get just a few strides away before Arowin urged Ace faster and darted off again. It was a game, she didn't fear the Finnick man, he was nothing but a new face to be added to the list of people she had killed and never regretted doing so. "Whats a matter?" Arowin called over her shoulder letting them get close again, "Can't catch one girl? Or do they all flee before you like the plague?" she shouted.

The Huntsman saw Arrowin's silhouette next to the fire, her hair dancing in the slight breeze. It took his breath away and his eyes went wide. His eyes met hers briefly before she turned to flee, taunting him and Finnick. Next to him, Finnick kicked his horse faster and the Huntsman "accidentally" bumped his horse into his, causing Finnick's horse to stumble and slow down. Finnick growled at him over his shoulder, but he didn't say anything in return. He was too concerned with making sure Arrowin got away. He smirked when Arrowin taunted Finnick again, and Finnick just growled. "What's a matter with you? Too afraid to stand your ground and fight?" Finnick called back.

Arowin spun Ace around at the last seconds as she let them catch up again and charged through right between them giving Finnick a hard push and nearly loosing her balance but it was well worth it. He laughter ran through the trees as she stopped for a second to taunt Finnick. "You couldn't handle fighting a girl." she said and darted off again but this time much slower letting them gain fast. She slowly rose in the saddle and jumped grabbing onto a branch and pulling herself up. Ace cantered a short bit on and disappeared into the shadows before stoping and waiting as he had been trained. Arowin swung her legs over the side of the branch just out of reach of Finnick. She smiled and leant against the trunk of the tree. "Had enough yet boys?" she asked tossing a pine cone down at Finnick's head with a grin.

Frank watched in alarm as Arrowin came clattering into the hideout, shouting facts and what had happened. He had been right, something bad was coming. He immediatly began to stock up the saddle bags, gaze faltering as he saw Emerald run forth after her "Emerald! Back now! We need to get as much as we can!" he called to her, sprinting up the stair and into the rooms, collecting blankets, trinkets, anything that could be traded for money. Nearly everything went into the saddle bags and makeshift bags which he hauled down to the stables, tacking up Diad and launching the bags over the old stallions quarters and withers, tieing them on tight and in quick succession. He was used to hurried leavings. He lead Diad out onto the courtyard and headed back inside, feet pounding on the stone floors. He reached under his bed and pulled out his mace, rusted slightly, his familiar, ripped dark red cloak and embossed belt which held a small dagger and few coins in a leather purse. It was like being a soldier again, except he seemed considerably older and sterner, his features not as boyish as they once were.
Frank immediatly retuned to the courtyard, new strength seeping into him, more of an adrenalin rush "I knew this would ruddy happen" he cursed as he loaded up Diad "Hurry Emerald" he added as he gave the place one last run round.

Emerald nodded and ran back into the castle with him, gathering up all of her swords and daggers, her bow and arrow. She packed a bundle of clothes, another dress and two outfits of pants and shirts. She also put on the necklace Casper had given her and put on her father's wedding ring so she could bring it. Grabbing her coin pouch, she ran outside after Frank and tied her two bundles to Envy along with the sack that Arrowin had given her. She mounted Envy and looked at Frank over her shoulder. "Ready." she called out to him before kicking Envy into a full out gallop.
