As a pureblood of French decent Hopea grew up in Paris, France. She was an only child and lost both her parents as a young child. She was raised with her Grandparents who were very strict. They taught her how to use simple spells with her Grandmother's wand when she was 7. They often referred to her as a prodigy and piled expectations on the girl before she was able to escape them and go to Hogwarts. Once she entered the prestigious school her Grandfather passed on and her Grandmother seemed to expect even more of her. She quickly took to Transfigurations and Herbology and showed an extreme fear of beast in Care of Magical Creatures. After her first semester it became painfully apparent to the girl she did not meet up to the angel girl expectations of her Grandmother and she began rebelling. She dyed the underside of her hair black and then cut it into a short bob of sorts. She stopped studying and reach out into her common room and made a few friends. Her best class quickly became DADA and she started blowing things up more often in Potions and soon became the girl everyone knows today. Her Grandmother no longer speaks to her and during the summer she stays at her aunt's house.

She's friendly to the most part but can be shy at times. She's loud and likes to be around those she considers friends. Hopea often has a point blank and blunt response to most questions asked of her, she also tends to be a bit sarcastic at times too She tends to be a joker at times too, or more of letting other people tell jokes cause she always forgets them.. She has the brains of a Ravenclaw but with the desire for power, her bloodlines and her attitude she is all Slytherin.

Expectation- "No, just no. Let me do my life my way!"
Scolding- "I know what I'm doing is wrong, why remind me?!?"
Blonde Jokes- "Comment on my hair one more time and I swear, you won't have any!"
Blood Purity- "Seriously, just leave it be? Why beat a dead horse?"

Flinching from sudden movement- "My grandparents weren't kind..."
Biting her lip- "Be grateful, it stops me from insulting others sometimes"
