Copper shrugged at his mentor's crankiness. He looked around at the hunters with interest, trying not to let his gaze settle too long on Sadira. He couldn't help it though, her gray pelt shone just the right amount of silver in the sunlight, and the reddish ring of fur around her neck only added to her beauty... Shaking his head of these thoughts, Copper tried to concentrate on Yuri and Jakei and he bounded up to the hunter apprentice when he caught the bird. "Great job!" he exclaimed.

[Sidewind]

Flare started to walk towards the camp entrance happily wagging his tail. He loved to go out and train!! He had alway's wanted to be the best hunter in the Leash and he was still going to try!!

Creo watched happily as Flare walked. He walked slowly behind him and for the first time in his life worry slipped into his mind the worry that Zargon woul find him again...

Raven raised her tail up and signaled for Flare and Creo to stop. She whispered to them, "Creo, I'd really appreciate it if you went off to the side and sat still so that you don't scare anything away. Now Flare, see that squirrel up there? You're going to catch it. I know you're excited but try to keep still. Creep up on it one step at a time, and don't make any noise. When you get close enough, dash forward and kill it quickly. Got it?"

"Okay" Creo whispered silentley. He moved of to one side and placed his butt on the ground eager to watch Flare.

"Yes" Flare said. He creeped toward the squireel as quietly as possible and then dashed foward. He was quiet fast and almost didn't catch it but then he pounced killing it with a swift bite to the neck. Trotting back to Raven he placed the meat in front of her as he wagged his tail with pride.

Jakei smiled at his apprentice, "Well done." he smiled. Jakei spotted a wild berry bush that he knew was edible. "Look," he pointed at the bush, "these are wild blackberries, they have no medicinal qualities, but they are quite tasty. We should collect some, the leash hasn't had fresh fruit in a while." Jakei padded over to the bush and began to pick the ripened berries.

Yuri placed his kill in a safe spot and trotted over next to Jakei, he began to collect the delicate and fragrant berries with Jakei.

Shiko placed her fresh dewdrops in a small stone flask. She squished up some blackberries and wrote "DD" on the container with her sharp claw. Swishing her tails in contentment, she wondered how the rest of the leash was faring.

[Lady Saga]

[sorry guys was visiting my nephew today, haven't seen him for a week. Got to spoil him now before he gets too big]

Sadira nodded to Phantom intent on her training. She had to do better, the hunters were vital for providing the food for the leash and they all needed to keep their strength. Nightmares plaguing them at night was one thing to worry about among many. Sadira was going not going to add food shortage due to incompetent apprentices to the list. Besides Copper was here..."I'm ready to start! I'll get more than a bird today." She stretched her muscles, jumping in place to relieve some anxiety. Today she would make up for everything!
