Emerald laughed. "Yes, I think people would pay a good price for your paintings." she joked back. She put two fingers to her lips and whistled, Envy trotting over soon after. With a smile, she jumped onto the stallion's bare back and waited for the others.
The Huntsman took the bow and quiver, looking down at the weapons with a slightly confused look. He hadn't used a bow much in his life. He always preferred the axe. He shrugged though and put the quiver to his back before slinging the bow over his shoulder and following Arrowin out to the stable. "Thanks." he said, mounting the horse and sitting uncomfortably in the saddle. "So, why is that boy going off to the castle?" he asked, looking down at Arrowin. He felt a little bad though, maybe he shouldn't have asked about the boy. Maybe it would make her upset. "You don't have to answer if you don't like." he said quickly, hoping she wouldn't be upset with him.

Arowin finished tacking up and lead Ace out into the courtyard and mounted up. "Kyle is going to return to his father and then he is going to help us get inside so that we can set him on the throne where he belongs." she said with a shrug to show that she didn't mind being asked. It didn't feel as if The Huntsmen was a stranger but a close friend, someone she had know her whole life. Arowin gently tapped her heels to Ace's side and the gelding walked through the doorway in the wall. "Alright, Kyle up front. We are going to give you a few seconds head start and then we are going to take after you. You have just escaped The Hood and you are making start for the castle. We will let you keep ahead of up and we will abandon the chase within sight of the castle where the guards will see everything. You will not look back and we will not come in after you. No matter what." she said and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Good luck and remember everything I told you!" she said with a smile.
Kyle nodded and turned to Emerald and took a deep breath and nodded spinning the horse he was riding around and galloped off into the forest. A few seconds later and he heard the rest give chase. Many thoughts were running through his mind but he shoved them all down, he had to concentrate. The forest whipped by and he could feel the horse underneath him tiring as they neared the village. He didn't slow as he reached the village sending peasants scattering like wild birds and knocked over carts. Shouts filled the air and the clatter of hooves struck out like thunder. The castle came within sight, the gates wide open with guards watching wide eyes. "Help, help!" he cried as he crashed towards them into the courtyard of the castle and fell from his horse in exhaustion. "Send for the King!" he rasped. 'Send for my father." he said and closed his eyes pretending to pass out. He could hear them shouting and running around madly and after a while he felt himself being lifted and carried inside.
Ava fell to the ground in the market place as a ragged boy and horse sped past. "Hey watch it!" she shouted lifting herself up only to have to dive out the way again as three other horsemen charged by and stopped just a few paces further watching the castle. Ava muttered angrily and brushed herself off and picked up what was left of her basket.

The Huntsman looked over at Kyle and studied the boy, trying to figure out what Arrowin meant. Suddenly, he did and his eyes went wide. "He's the prince! The one that got stolen from the castle!" He looked back at Arrowin. "You stole a child...." he said with disbelief. He then shook his head and galloped off with the rest of the Hood, his horse lagging behind the rest as it had to carry his weight.

Arowin had only just caught what The Huntsman said as the chase started. She wanted to defend her decision straight away but couldn't. She had done the right thing hadn't she? What if she had left Kyle where he was all those years ago. She watched Kyle enter the castle and slowed her horse to a walk. "I had to save him from becoming just like his father, I had to stop another generation of pain and cruelty." she said turning in her saddle to face The Huntsman. She then reined her horse to the side and started towards the bakery disappearing between the buildings to stop the guards from the castle following though she doubted they would. They would all be too busy inside the castle.

You rp the King right? I can't remember who does.

(Yup, it's me ^-^)
The Huntsman nodded and followed after Arrowin, his horse wheezing under him. "Sorry, old boy." he whispered to the horse, giving it a pat on the shoulder. "I understand." he told Arrowin. "It makes sense. But you think the King will suspect anything bad about the boy? And how are you guys even going to kill the king? You can't expect the boy to do it."
John scowled as he heard the doors to the Throne Room open. "What do you want?" he snapped at the page. "Your Majesty, a boy has come to the castle. The Hood was chasing him but we got to the boy before they could harm him." At mention of the Hood, John's interest sparked. He leaned forward in his seat and nodded for the page to continue. "We have reason to believe the boy is your son. Kyle." For a moment, John didn't react. He just sat still, not even blinking or breathing as he tried to register what the page was saying. Finally he had to breath and he unfroze. "Kyle? Take me to the boy at once, I will decide for myself!" John demanded, rising from his seat and being led to the infirmary. He slowly walked through the room, the servants attending to Kyle moving out of his way. His eyes were wide as he stood next to the boy's bed, studying him. He reached out a hand and pulled back Kyle's hair so that he could see behind the boy's ear. And sure enough, there was the birthmark Kyle had as a baby. John ordered the servants to leave, and then he sank to his knees next to Kyle's bed and started to cry, embracing Kyle. "My son. My son, you've returned! I promise I won't let anything happen to you again. I will make the Hood pay for this, all of what they have done to you."

"The King will be too overjoyed and Kyle will act the part, that we are sure of." Arowin said and dismounted as they reached the back of the bakery. She knocked on it and waited a while before the door finally opened and an old women ushered them through. "Morning ma'am, we have come to buy any bread you can spare." Arowin said and took a pouch of money out of a pocket and slipped it to the women who gave a toothless smile and winked before moving off and returning with two loves of bread and giving them to Arowin. "Thank you, take care." Arowin said and then left and mounted back up stowing the bread away.
Kyle was slightly irritated by the servants poking and prodding him as he lay still on the bed. He suddenly heard them scatter and felt someone touch his hair which caused him to flinch slightly. Next thing he heard sobbing and felt someone hugging him over and over again and decided that it was finally time to open his eyes. "Father?" he croaked reaching out to him. He had to sell it, he thought of Rebecca and let tears slip down his face. "I'm home father, I'm home." he rasped clutching his father's hands and staring at him wide eyed.

John looked down at Kyle and cupped his face in his hands. "Don't cry my boy, you're home now." He frowned then and the wrinkles on his forehead deepened. "You've gotten so big. Look at you, you look just like your mother." More tears slipped down his old face. "Oh Kyle, how she would of loved to see you."
The Huntsman just nodded. "Okay." He watched her walk into the bakery and then sighed, shifting uncomfortably in the saddle. Emerald didn't even glance at the Huntsman, her gaze was glued to the castle that lay in the distance. The silence between them was awkward and he didn't like it. He liked being alone with Arrowin much more. It wasn't weird being around her. It felt normal, like when he used to just sit with Sarah and stare into the fire that blazed in the hearth as they watched little Alexandria toddle around. He shook his head then, getting rid of the thoughts. She wasn't Sarah, though. When Arrowin came out he dismounted, handing her the reigns to his horse. "Thank you for letting me stay the night with you, but I must go now." he said roughly. He couldn't stay, he couldn't grow feelings for any of those Hood people, especially for Arrowin, but he wanted to so very much. He wanted to stay with Arrowin and get to know her more, even though it felt like he had known her forever.

Arowin took the reins and could nearly hide her disappointment. "Oh, right." she said and looked at the horse. "Why don't you keep him..." she said offering him the reins again. 'We don't need him and he is just going to end up sold to some stranger and he is a really good horse and I..." she let her voice trail off as she realized she was rambling. She straightened in the saddle taking up her own reins. "Well, goodbye then Huntsman. Till I paths again cross." she said turning her horse's head away in the direction of the woods leaving the spare horse with The Huntsman.
Ava headed disgruntled into the marketplace again to finish the shopping for her family. She packed the last of her goods into the woven basket and started heading home towards the farm.
Kyle gulped slightly sitting up. "What was my mother like?" he asked the King. How could this man before him be the tyrant that everyone saw him as. Kyle shook the thoughts from his head thinking of Rebecca and the task that lay ahead of him.

John's frown deepened when he asked about his mother. "She had the loveliest brown hair, and the kindest blue eyes. She always had a smile on her face. She was kind, and confident, and so very gentle. " He frowned and stroked Kyle's hair. "She loved you dearly, Kyle. When we couldn't find you, it killed her. She just wasted away. She would of given anything to get you back."
The Huntsman just nodded, taking the reigns again. "Soon, hopefully." he said quietly as he watched Arrowin and Emerald ride off with a frown. He sighed and mounted the horse, feeling lonely and the saddest he'd been since he'd met Arrowin. He turned the horse in the direction of the tavern and started to ride it there, in desperate need of a few drinks.
Emerald smiled as they rode off. "I am so glad to be rid of that man." she said to Arrowin happily.

Arowin didn't reply to Emerld's comment but let her reins drop and took her bow and an arrow in her hands instead. "Lets hunt." she said slowing Ace down even further so as to make less noise. Her eyes scanned the foliage and the ground searching for tracks or markings. "What don't you like about him Emerald?" she said suddenly dismounting from her horse to track freely. She turned down a fresh trail stalking forward for a while. The dappled light could easily hide a boar and Arowin wanted to be able to quickly shoot it down before it charged her. It saddened her to think that she might never see the Huntsmen again and she didn't know why. It seemed that any guy she felt comfortable around made a break for it the first chance they got.
Kyle frowned and lay back down. "I wish I could have met her." he said, that was true. The Hood had never spoken of his mother badly from what he had been told she always protected them and yet they had taken him away and let her die. How could the people who raised him be responsible for causing his mother's death.
