Iyvpaw frowned and sat back up. She hurried after Frostpaw as she disappeared into the apprentice's den. "Why not...?" she asked gently, lifting a multi-colored paw to wash herself.


F a l c o n paw ~ Camp

Falconpaw finished his squirrel and scraped dirt over it absentmindedly, thinking about what lay ahead in the future. He was usually a easygoing cat, but times were changing. Flamewhisker had been acting oddly ever since Rouge came back from his 'hunting expedition.'
He wondered if Rouge had done something to Flamewhisker... He shook his head. And his mentor, Forestheart had moved to the nursery today. That made him wonder who'd serve as his mentor for the time being, and if he'd ever have a mate of his own.



R i v e r flash ~ Forest

Riverflash approached the waterfall, its water sparkling in the sunlight. He walked up to the bank and sat down, watching, waiting for fish or water voles. He spotted a small, silvery fish that darted around. He grinned and lifted his paw, unsheathing his sharp claws. He watched the fish intently, waiting for it to swim close enough to him. It too a while, but it finally worked up the courage in its tiny heart to swim near Riverflash. The tabby tom lashed out with his claws, and produced the silvery fish that was still trying to swim. He killed it quickly and picked it up, heading back to camp. He learned how to fish from his dad, (who had self-taught himself~) but sadly, he was one of the few cats who enjoyed fish in Fallclan.

Iyvpaw stopped. "Oh... I'm sorry..." she said quietly. Her (*nonexistent*) mother died from greencough, and her (*nonexistent*) father had died during a large border skirmish (PFFT)."You'll... you'll have to fight someday..." she said gently. "When you become a warrior... just ... when/if you're fighting ... think that you're ... that you're killing your mothers killer." she suggested.

Brambletail paused and thought for a second. "Yes, that might be it. She doesn't have any family left, does she?" he asked carefully, not wanting to reveal what Rouge had said.

Eaglepaw walked over to Falconpaw. He nodded a greeting and leaned down to take a bite out of his mouse.

Dawnwish nodded and smiled, not quite believing her leader, but not wanting to pry either. "Okay, I was just worried about you..." she said.

((We have a lot of bird-cats in Fallclan....Eaglepaw, Falconpaw, soon to be Sparrowkit.... O.o))
