Athena leapt around. "I'm fine, Starla!" Her white fur looked like crystals in sunlight.

Shade flicked his ears. "I wander where she found the strength to stand on her legs so fast?" He looked at Starla. He was growing like a full adult now he wasn't living in fear of being tortured. He was nearly taller than some of the stronger males.

"athena, its been just over a moon since you broke every one of your legs, and i am not going to let you run around and probably break them all over again." Starla ignored everybody, she looked at athena seriously, with a look in her eye that said (Dont you dare ignore me.) but if you looked much much deeper, you would see fear and worry for athena, she hid it very well though.

Shade could sense Starla's fear. To comfort her, he put his paw on Starla's paw in the least flirtyist way possible, so Soul wouldn't yell at him for flirting with Starla. He looked at her. "Don't be afraid.... She's young and beautiful, but also strong. She'll pull through, she knows what her actions lead. She needs to excersise those legs instead of letting them rust away, if you know what I mean."

Athena nodded in thanks to Shade for letting him explain. But obeying Starla's look of annoyance, she grabbed a piece of prey from the fresh-kill pile and sat down to eat it.

Starla pulled her paw away from shades. "Dont." She stared at him then padded after athena. "Athena, listen to me, will you at least warm them up a bit each day before you start doing any exersice, like go in the river so your not putting much weight in them, and make sure you stretch them too, but be gentle with them." She told athena to stretch them in the river each morning, hopefully she would listen this time. But, starla felt a little odd, nobody had dissobeyed there medicine wolf before.

Shade sighed. Nobody had ever given him the cold shoulder before. Not even Starla.
