The Warrior cat design is popular because its a retired cat lineart. However the dog is older, and dogs are preferred more than cats. That dog also happens to be quite popular I think, though don't quote me on that. I think in the end it is really up to which you prefer. Sorry if this isn't much help, getting another opinion could be worth it.
