Siren|Female|Awake|Talking|Tagged: Everyone!/Bruce

Siren sat calmly through it all, her thoughts elsewhere besides this new dog even if she had found her. She was still stuck on what had come to her, but she kept it hidden behind a mask of her face. There was no need for her to worry others right now, Bruce would hear about it first. But how would he feel about it? This new dog was surely going to trouble him at least a little, and then she would be dumping this on him? Taking in a deep breath she did her best to calm herself, he needed to hear it and as Oracle it was her duty to tell. Some dogs waited for any good sign of a prophecy so who was she to keep it from them?! This was the way that Siren tried to rationalize her upcoming actions. She had to tell him and that was how she resolved her decision. She waited silently to the side, watching the snappy Lyra with studying eyes. She seemed to be back to her old self, silent and observant with wise words filling her head. She could barely remember her first prophecy, only that it had scared her sister half to death. But the words... she wanted to know them! Wanted to know if they were what led her to this place! What had led her here? Had there been something else besides the intense drive the youthful dog once contained? The questions raced in her mind but she pushed them away till later. For now she needed to keep calm and to speak with Bruce as soon as he was done with Lyra and the others. After it had all ended and Bruce had padded away she stood slowly. Her eyes remained on the new dog, wondering if this had truly been the one in her dreams? She certainly imagine her different but then that could have been simple Siren, hoping for the best. Turning her body she walked over to Bruce, her voice dropping considerably as she talked. "Bruce... It's urgent, I must speak with you." She said somewhat urgently. Even the look in her eyes suggested it had something to do with her rank. The last lingerings of the splitting headache were only just fading away to a numbing dullness in her skull.

((Okami's Persona is just so freaking fun to play with <3 And Desto how did I know you'd end up ditching out on the whole explanation thing. Wah I told you I'm no good at this ;A; ))

{{ Okami }}

"Sheesh. A dog just can't get a nap around here anymore." the grey she-dog stood and stretched as if she could take all the time she wanted. Which, technically, she could. Giving a quick nod of her head to Bruce, she turned her head to Lyra, but not before her sharp, wolf-like ears caught Siren's hushed whisper. Stay out of it. She scolded herself. If Bruce wanted to inform her on what the Orcal said, he would. But that dog's got a will strong as iron. Letting out an inward sigh, she spoke in an almost inaudible whisper below her breath, " Just try to keep yourself out of trouble, Bruce." Who am I kidding, trouble follows that dog like a disease. The dog added as an afterthought."Right!" Okami stood before Lyra, her demeanor unwavering. "You've got a tough road ahead of you pup, beIng a Raider is no easy feat. However, that can wait 'till later. There are things you need to know about this pack and it's rules." Okami rolled her eyes after finishing the sentence. "Yeah, I know, more rules. Look, it ain't any more fun explaining them then it is listening to them. Listen up though, 'cause you don't want to miss this. Putting a claw in the dirt, the grey dog drew a straight line. "Now I'm not going to sugarcoat this with no cutesy crap. Here's the facts: One. The moment you laid eyes on us, you were connected to our pack's curse. Two," She drew a second line in the ground next to the other. " Any dog outside the pack that lays eyes on you or makes any interaction with you whatsoever is cursed to a life a misery that has a high chance of leading to a horrible death." She paused for a second "Any questions?"

Lyra
With her ears folded back over her head in a much more relaxed manner, Lyra feels the tension of the pack ebb away slowly with her acceptance by Bruce. The onlookers drift away, and she is aware of Siren as she moves to join Bruce behind her. However, she doesn't turn to look, and instead keeps attention on Okami as she to her feet and mutters something quietly to herself. Studying the wolf-dog as she speaks, Lyra finds that her mannerisms and expressions are more and more dog-like and the impression of speaking with an enormous coyote slowly fades as she starts to feel a bit more at ease. Her words about the difficulties of being a raider don't faze Lyra in the slightest, as she has never been one to back away from a challenge. In fact, it only makes her more curious, but Okami quickly moves on to once again explain some sort of rules to her.

Sheesh, what is it with these dogs and rules? I mean yeah, it's a pack and you've got to get along but this is just starting to get redundant. Lyra sighs a bit and looks down at the lines Okami draws in the dirt as she speaks. Finding the gesture rather odd, she actually ponders that more than the actual warnings imparted. Looking back up to her when she finishes, Lyra feels a bit of sarcasm bubble up in her and does nothing to stop it. "Right. So I'm doomed to a life of misery and a horrible death, so is everyone else here and everyone else we meet. Got it." Without understanding any of the history of the pack, or what the real ramifications are of this curse they are so caught up on, she just really doesn't care. Not like my life was all that great to begin with. As far as I'm concerned anything that resembled a life ended when they brought me to this dammed grey place. She takes a step forward, inadvertently stepping on the two lines and erasing them from the dust. Lyra is not about to let this all pass with nonchalance, deciding instead to see if she can get more of her questions answered. Pressing on with a few more questions, the sardonic tone never leaves her voice. "So, is this just dogs we doom to wretchedness? What about humans? Pigeons? Besides which, how horrible can any death really be? They all seem to end up the same to me." She pauses for a moment, looking out to the river for a moment to form her next question. "Honestly this all doesn't seem that bad. No one here seems to be miserable, or starving... No one on the verge of this immanent death of which you speak. So what is it with all the warnings and fear? You say there are rules, but I've yet to hear a single thing outlining how I should act or what I should do. Only fear and dreary speak regretting their existence." Feeling a bit better for having had her say, she looks back to Okami and meets the wolf-dog's eyes as she waits for an answer.

• | Kali | Fae | Lead Scout | Three | •

Location: Starting to walk across bridge.
Tagged: The group, then no one.
Crush: Sadly Bruce...
Only a few minutes, well what seemed like a few minutes. Kali was out of it, she couldn’t focus on the topic at hand and it slightly frustrated her a little. Hearing Bruce introduce her to the stray she didn’t bother to say anything but when he winked she knew it was for Lyra. Looking down a little she shook her fur out for a little while before looking up again. Small what if’s filling her mind up before she could do anything else and it freaked her out a bit. It wasn’t her to be like this, over a guy.

A small growl escaped her lips before she realised and she immediately stopped herself “Sorry” she whispered before looking around a little then moving out of the way of anyone. The feeling that she should be somewhere else at the moment was what she felt and so she moved. “I should go deal with the scouting thing” she mumbled a short sentence before nearly tripping over her own paws and moving away from the area. Didn’t she have an area to investigate? It made no sense to her and really she was curious enough to know if she should still go and check out the area or not. Coming to a conclusion that she needed to if she wanted to concentrate and think about anything other than the pack. Other than Bruce, where were the pups anyway? She hadn’t seen Alysia or Zach since the small meeting before.

Shaking her head a little and not telling anyone anything she decided to start going across towards the concrete to the bridge. If she crossed the building and got to the other side to see the area she had asked about first. They might be able to get some more food? It was a stretch but she was the only one doing the trip herself at the moment. It made it easier for her to be quicker, faster than others. The other scouts wouldn’t be in any danger then if she ran into some trouble. It wouldn’t happen though she was careful. All she wanted to do was really go for a walk since she still had a bit of energy. Maybe in a few hours she could go to sleep? It seemed like a bad idea at the moment but it was still an option for the near future.

Oh Aroi, why would I ever do that to you. ;3

ohandguys, I think I know who I'm going to have Bruce have a crush on, but I'm not sure yet, and it won't happen until the prophecy starts for reasons I won't say. c; ))

Lyra was taken away by Okami, and it looked to Bruce as though she was explaining the basic ground rules. He knew that she would do a good job, she was good as those types of things. That's where they were the exact opposite, he was really bad at explaining anything, where she tended to be pretty good, if not great at explaining. Then he heard a mumble, and although he couldn't make out the words, he could tell that it was Kali. She was the one closest to him, so it made sense. When she left he almost considered going after her to talk to her, but he decided not to. As he watched her, he wondered if the scouting mission that they had discussed earlier was going to be followed through with. She would need the other scouts to help her, but they would also need at least a scout here.... Oh well, whatever she decided to do would be perfectly fine with him. After all she was one of the smartest dogs he knew.

He turned around when Siren came up to him. He wondered what she possibly could have to talk to him about. They had already talked about the prophecy earlier. The prophecy. Was it possible that the reason it was so urgent was that she had heard the prophecy? Or if it wasn't the prophecy, could she have seen something? "What is it?" He asked before he walked a little bit further away from the rest of the dogs. They had already begun to disperse, but you could never be too careful. Since she wanted to talk to him privately he didn't know if it was something that the rest of the pack should know right off the bat. When they were far enough away he shifted his body so he was facing her and asked, "Is something wrong?" Still unsure of whether it would be possible for her to have seen something in the short time between when they last talked, he decided that he would simply let her tell him what was wrong. Well, he didn't know if something was wrong, but it was probably his best guess? He had to admit he was excited, he really hoped that she had seen something. Anything.

Bailey Male Raider

Bailey stood silently by Okami as she explained the rules of the pack to Lyra. Since the Nova Scotia was a raider as well, he figured he should remain present for the explanation. Does this female understand the ignorance she is spouting, he thought to himself as he sat down calmly. His eyes narrowed as he listened to Lyra continue with her sarcastic tirade. His pale golden eyes flicked to the lead raider to gauge her reaction before they re-focused on the tall, lean female. His eyes narrowed slightly and he gave a soft snort of dislike before he casually searched for Cheyenne. He had no interest in dealing with Lyra and hoped Okami would pair the annoyingly ignorant female with Bast or herself rather him. The male was more interested in helping Cheyenne out, as the pup was still acclimating to pack life and he felt as if he needed to protect her until she grew sure of herself and her place in the pack.

Siren|Female|Awake|Talking|Tagged: Everyone!/Bruce

Siren watched him as he talked, preparing to judge his reaction by the facial features. As much as it had her worried she was slowly getting to the point where her reaction and feelings to it were hidden. "Something." She said in response to his first question. She wanted to let him know first and let him decide what to do with the info-or rather threat- that she recieved. She cleared her mind, focusing on the task at hand. All at once the worry vanished as she locked it in a vault, bringing out her inner calm. As he walked farther away she followed him. While she was still tensed it was more a calm tense, what she normally looked like. Why couldn't these things happen at better times? It always seemed to happen when everything else was happening and her mind was whirling with thought. "I recieved another prophecy." She stated rather abruptly, wanting to just get it over with as fast as she could. The faster she got it done with the more she could think and sort things out. It was no wonder she was never cluttered about things, she always had time to think and think she did. "Bruce, they're getting more... More threatning. And I'm becoming increasingly worried about this pack." She told him. Her head turned to look at his face, now at the point where she would be judging the reaction and what to say.

Something was wrong. She had said it with her own jaws. He wasn't entirely shocked, but at the same time he was not pleased that this was the answer he received. He had been hoping that nothing was wrong, but of course that was too good to be true. In this pack there was always something wrong, he just had to brace himself until he heard what it was. He mentally calmed himself down and made it so he would be able to take whatever she told him. But he wasn't prepared still. A prophecy? This was almost too good to be true! How could she say that this was bad news? They had been waiting for one for so long, and now that one comes she is saying that it is bad news? There must be something up with that. But yet he couldn't contain himself. "How in the world could that be bad news?" But his ears drooped as she finally told him the reason that it was bad news. More threatening? The last one was actually kind of scary, but how could something like that get more threatening? "What do you mean by more threatening?" He paused before he asked the question that he needed to ask, "What did it say? What did you receive?"
