Nightshadow snarled and looked at Yewclaw. "You know what Yewclaw? I don't think your...evil...enough to lead the dark forest, we don't call of raids, even if we need more cats." He growled. "I say that we attack tonight, while MistClan is asleep...or better yet...we put the raid on NightClan instead."

Willowbreeze purred with amusement.

"Greystar is far, he will give you a moon to prove yourselves worthy of staying." Patchfang meowed. "Also, we need to tell him about the dark forest."

Foxgaze purred, and he looked up as Butterkit wondered over. "Hi Foxgaze!" The kit chirped.

Yewclaw snarled, "Oh am I not, you had better take that back. But fine, we SHALL invade, but it will be Night clan. Nightshadow, I recommend you keep your worthless gob shut."

Duststrike mewed, "You go back to camp, I need to check a scent I've been tracking for a while...." he headed in the direction of the dark forest, nose to the ground.

Larksong looked up and mewed, "Oh thank you Patchfang!" she gave him an affectionate lick on the forehead. Bluewhisker sniffed the air and froze and muttered, "I smell Night clan warrior, headed this way..."

Shiverkit looked over at his sister and groaned, "Oh shut up will you Butterkit, how can you be so chirpy?!" he had had a whole attitude change, he was three moons old now, typical age for this behavior.

Nightshadow growled, but he nodded. "Should I get the warriors ready to invade?"

Willowbreeze nodded. "Alright." She meowed, and she went back to camp. Patchfang scented the air. "Its Dustwhisker, stay behind me."

Butterkit glared at her brother. "Why do you have to be so mean!" She snapped.

Yewclaw shook his head and mewed, "I will do that!" he ordered the cats in line and muttered, "How pathetic do we look..."

Bluewhisker snorted and mewed, "You don't fool us there mate. It's Duststrike, Yewclaw's brother, even we know about him!" Larksong spat, "You don't trust us, Patchfang?"

Duststrike sniffed the air and peered over to where Patchang stood. Bluewhisker and Larksong hid behind him. He growled, "What are you doing out here Patchfang?"

Shiverkit snorted and spat, "I'm not, some of us actually like sleeping though!"

Nightshadow growled. "What about those other cats that you said would help us when we first said we were going to invade MistClan?"

"I was suppose to say Duststrike..." He trailed off and his ears went flat against his head, then he turned as Duststrike appeared. "Me? Oh, I'm doing nothing."

"Well you can't tell me what to do!" Butterkit retorted.

[walk.]

Yewclaw said calmly, "That was only if we were to invade Mist clan. If we attack night clan, we'll have to do it alone."

Duststrike said, "Well then..." he circled Patchfang and roared, "What are too dark forest cats doing here?!"

Shiverkit pounced and pinned her down and growled, "Yes I can!"

Patchfang shrunk down slightly. "Uh...I can explain!" He meowed.

Nightshadow nodded. "We will be able to defeat them, dark forest cats are stronger then normal Clan cats...we are not as soft as they are."

"No you can't!" Butterkit growled.

Duststrike spat, "Yes, you had better Patchfang!" Larksong appeared and mewed, "I can explain...."

Yewclaw nodded and mewed, "At least we both agree on something. We will attack NOW!'

"Mama! Shiverkit's being mean again!" Buterkit wailed, running to her mother.

Patchfang growled, then he looked at Larksong.

Nightshadow nodded and he twitched his tail.

Shimmerfur frowned and mewed, "Probably just a phase, he'll pass through it Butterkit!" she chuckled and licked her daughter's forehead soothingly.

Larksong began her story. "Bluekit and I lay in the nursery of MIst clan, suckling from our mother Fallenleaf. Our father, Miststar, then Mistbreeze lay outside in the morning sunlight. We were three moons old. Days passed and our mother began to catch white cough, at first it was nothing serious but it gradually got worse and worse. Then on the day I turned five moons, she died. Mistbreeze asked the only other queen, Mapleflame to look after us. She did for a half a moon but then her own kits were born. She abondoned us, we moved into the apprentice den, half a moon early. All the other apprentices picked on Bluepaw because of his long whiskers and how our mother abondoned us. We stayed strong together and pulled through apprenticeship. I became Larksong and Bluepaw became Bluewhisker. Nobody teased us now, especially because of how big my brother had grown. I was out hunting one day when I met a loner and we fell in love, the next time we meet, he tried to kill me. I was exciled from the clan because of one cat who had seen me. I gave birth to my one kit in the wild and named her..... Tide. I then heard of a new clan and ran to join, they accepted me, only yesterday did we find it was the dark forest.... We need a home Duststrike." Duststrike mewed, "Fine, I'll take you to Greystar, see what he has to say......."


Yewclaw spat, "Right, warriors, CHARGE!"
