Still, they should at least look a few pages back to make sure nobody posted it already.

It's happened before. People aren't going to go over pages just to post their story.

Not trying to be rude, but who gives a turdnugget if you already posted a story similar to theirs a few pages back, huh? Are you like the queen or king or something? Is it "against the law" to post a story that sounds like yours? Is it plagiarism? No, it's not. It's not a big deal.

You didn't have to be that rude. I never said it was against the law or that I was king. And actually, that story was the one I posted, just that the guy actually got caught. I don't want this to get spammed up with the same stories over and over.

Here is one (it's more funny than scary)

A man was traveling and got lost, it was storming so he stopped at a farm. He walked over there and knocked on the door. The farmer answered the door "Whadda you want?" he muttered. The man said "I was wondering if you can let me sleep here for the night". The farmer stared at him and said "Whatever". The man walked into the house and asked "Where can I stay?". The farmer said "You can sleep in my room, I'll sleep on the couch, but before you go to sleep there is one rule. Never go into the basement, and if you do, NEVER touch the creature in there. The key is around my neck, but be warned, I am a very light sleeper". The man nodded and went into the farmer's bedroom. When he got in bed he couldn't sleep because he was so curious what was in the basement. He eventually couldn't take it anymore and went back to the farmer. He was sleeping. And just like he said, there was an old looking key hanging from a string on his neck. The man tiptoed over there and slowly grabbed to key. He carefully pulled the key off the farmer's neck withoutwaking him up, and slowly made his way to the basement. The door was unlocked, but behind it it the room was guarded by a large metal gate. The man got his key and put it in the keyhole. He slowly opened the gate and all of a sudden a big hairy apelike creature started running after him. The man screamed and ran as fast as he could out the front door, he looked back and saw the apelike creature still running after him, he ran towards the lake thinking the creature couldn't swim. as he got to the lake and swam to the middle, he looked back and to his surprise, the creature was swimming towards him. Paralyzed from shock the man just stood there. The creature approached him and when he got within rrange touched the man and the creature stood there and in a frail voice and said... "You're it"

the viper

a widow live in a an apartment and someone calls and says, "I am the viper, I'll be up in an hour." she just thinks it is a prank but then fifteen minutes later the same person call and says, "It's the viper, i'll be there soon." so she calls the police and then the door bell rings five minutes later and she says, "thank god the police are finally here!!" But it is a man with a sponge and a bucket of water. He says,"i am the viper. I vish to vash and vipe the vindows!"

just a funny random one XD VV

!You were late!

Lisa walked along with her dog down to the park, like always. Every evening in the summer, at sunset, she'd walk down the street to the park and play with her dog until it was dark, then go back home. Today, though, it was raining.

She grabbed her dog's leash and started back, then realized she forgot the frizbee that she tossed around for her dog. She knew her dog wouldn't like it if she forgot it, so she started to go back, tying the leash to a tree. "I'll be back in a minute, Pups." She said, smiling brightly, and ran off to the park to grab the toy.

About two minutes later, sshe came back with the toy, and walked up to the tree. The leash was gone.

"Very funny, Pups. Come on, here boy! I got your frizbeeeee!" She called, but when Pups didn't show up, she started to get worried. Then she saw a small drop of blood fall with the rain, and looked up at the tree.

There, she saw Pups, or, at least, what seemed to be Pups. All the skin was inside out, bones were sticking out, and the poor dog's heart was hanging fron a single vain. It wwas still pulsing, and the dog was making short, gurgling sounds of pain. She screamed loudly.

Then, she heard the voice of something.

"You said you'd be back in a minute. You lied. You were gone for two." Came the voice of something.

When her parents came to find her, they found an inside out, dead girl, clutching the leash to an almost dead dog

My name is Selcia and I'm 17 years old. This scary event happened to me when I was only ten years old, but I still remember it...I am so freakin scared, thinking about what had happened 7 years ago.

Anyways, I was playing dolls in my house when I heard a soft voice whisper behind my ear. I shivered, but I ignored it at first, thinking it was just a breeze coming from the window. I looked at the windows and saw to my shock that they weren't open. But I forgot about it, later on. It was onlyl a few minutes later, when I heard someone whisper in my ears again. This time, I could make out the words.

"Celia, Celia, Celia." I looked around, but there was no one there. Then suddenly, I saw a little girl my age looking at me. She had a red skirt on with a white blouse. She looked pretty, if only her eyes weren't so dark and creepy. It almost looked like she had no eyeballs. Her mouth opened, and I only saw a black hole in it.
She called out, "Celia, celia, celia........ come in... to... the cellar."
It was so scary to listen to her dry and shivering voice. But I just stood still and listened to her. She then disappeared. I then opened the door and walked down the cellar stairs.

I saw the little girl again, and this time she was pointing at the ancient looking wall. She motioned with her hands as if she was tearing something down. I was confused, so I went back upstairs. I went in the kitchen to look for mother. I found her at the table and told her about the little girl. She grew pale, death pale, after I described how the girl looked like. She became frenzied and so scared I felt like I wanted to cry. But she shushed me and asked where the girl was. I told her down in the cellar and we both went down there.

I said that the red skirt girl was making tearing motions at the wall and my mother grew even more frantic. She called some carpenters and asked them to tear down the wall in the cellar. They came that same day and soon broke the wall. Inside, we found a small skeleton with a torn white blouse and red skirt. I was scared as h*** at that time.

My mother started to cry, saying how her little sister, Rose, disappeared wearing those same clothes and how everyone was upset, except for her uncle. He was acting more scared and nervous at the time, then upset.

We then went to mothers uncle's house and found him there. When we told him about the hidden body, he nearly fainted, but wouldn't say anything. Finally, he broke down and said that he tried to molest the little girl when no one was looking, and Rose tried to run away. He was afraid that she would rat him out so he killed her and hid her body behind the wall of the cellar

I couldn;t really sleep after this, this isn't mine either ._. Its called 'I now live in a one story house'

There were two rules we had to follow, when we were living on the second floor of the old apartment building. First, lock your door at night, and second, be very careful at the top of the stairs. These were natural rules, since despite the front door being locked, you had to be really sure of two full floors of neighbors to leave the door unlocked, especially during the night. As I understood it, the management of the house used to be really strict about the locked doors thing, and had put up signs all over the place telling people to lock their doors. I heard from the man next door that they sometimes even went around at night and rattled all the doors, making sure that they were all locked, but of course they completely denied being so invasive as that. I had never heard them at it, but I had been known to sleep perfectly content through an earthquake, so that was no indication. As for the stairs, it was just a simple reminder; they were steep and slightly tricky stairs, and I heard there had even been a couple of deaths from falling down them. It was good to remind people. Nothing wrong with that.
Besides, my sister and I were happy there. Leanne had been fortunate enough to get the room directly across from mine, and we were old enough to actually enjoy each others' company, despite the traditional feud that comes between an older brother and his younger sister. To tell the truth, the feud still existed, but had become more of a cheerful rivalry than anything else. We were happy. Just... happy.
Things weren't perfect, granted. We were in an area that had constant thunderstorms, and the power was as often out as it was functional. My room had a continuous smell of strong soap, and although that isn't at all the worst thing it could smell of, it was a bit tiresome after a while. Leanne's room developed a troublesome lock, and half the time the bolt would click out the moment someone pulled at it. We wanted to move out, sure, but we also wanted to wait until we could each be sure that the other could, too. If only we had known, if only there had been even the slightest flicker of menace, but there was none. There were no cold spots, no abnormal shivers when passing over a certain area, no strange noises but for the occasional rattling of the knobs in the night. Nothing. Not until that night.
I awoke in the middle of it simply out of thirst. I first tried my sink, obviously, but the power was out, so the pump wasn't running. Annoying, but the landlords kept a tank full at the top of the stairs, exactly for this purpose. Really, I should have thought to fill up my own jug whenever there was a storm warning, but however many times I had thought of it, I never quite managed to go through with it.
I went out to the landing, torch in hand. Halfway to the tank at the top of the stairs, I tried to click it on and found that it was dead, but that mattered little. There was ambient light, and lightning frequently flashed through the skylights with which the architect had a love affair when designing the building. I got to the tank, and began filling my bottle, when out of the corner of my eye I glimpsed movement halfway down the staircase. As I looked, there was nothing, though it was that kind of nothing that happens when you're staring at the object you're looking for, that sense of it being right in front of you, if only you could see it.
Then, by the flash of the lightning, I saw what was really there.
It was crawling. It had to, as it had no legs that I could see. It was like a torso, cut off right above the hips, reaching out with both hands and pulling itself up the stairs one slow, painful step at a time. Black tatters ...shrouded it, I suppose, because clothed wouldn't fit right on that thing. It was shrouded in the black tatters, and where they failed to cover, blank space showed, not black, and definitely not white, but rather a simple absence that I still cannot think of without my stomach rising in protest. This space was not empty, as the vacuum beyond our planet is, but rather it was less than empty; it was hungry, it sucked in, it was the opposite all that was material and physical.
Then, the lightning flash faded, but I could still somehow perceive its shape, continuing up the stairs. Even as I turned to run, another flash lit the room, and as though it had sensed my intent to flee, it lifted its head, and –
I'm sorry, but I cannot, I will never set to word neither spoken nor written my full description of its... face, for lack of a better word. It was simply all that a face should not be, and since this time, there has been no sight so horrible, so fearsome, so terrifying, that has impressed itself upon me in the least, for how could it compare? That is the one... triumph, I suppose, that I bring from that night, out of all its horror: I shall never again be cowed by the sight of evil, for the worst done by man is but the palest reflection of the visage that faced me then.
I ran. What else could I do? I ran to my room, as fast as I could, and began fumbling with my keys, all the while becoming aware of a faint, slithery drag-thump, drag-thump coming from the stairway. How far up had it been? Halfway? Two-thirds? How many steps did it have left?
Finally, I forced my key into the lock, yanked the door open, dove in, locked it again, and collapsed, the adrenaline suddenly gone. I had no time for introspection, however, as I suddenly realized that I could still hear the thing, now up on the landing! It was still crawling; I could hear the hand-over-hand slither of it as it came straight to my door. The handle moved! It rattled for a moment, then went still. Even as I started to let myself relax, I heard the door of the next room over rattle, but it too was locked. I heard it go down to the end of the hallway, rattling each door in turn, testing the locks. I sat, and prayed that none of the other tenants had left their door unlocked, leaving themselves open to that terror.
Then, as it had come back and was almost across the hall from me again, I thought: Leanne. Please, no...
Its slithering movement was clearly across from me. I listened, hoping, praying for a rattle.
The lock clicked, and the door creaked.
I couldn't help it. I grabbed the useless flashlight as a club and threw open the door. At the same time, there was a clatter and an all-too-familiar scream from the direction of the staircase. I ran towards it, other tenants opening their doors and peering out, working torches lighting the hallway. There was yet some glimmer of hope in me, some faint wish that if I got there fast enough, she would be alright.
But no.
There, at the bottom, crumpled like a broken toy, the marks of hands fast fading from her ankles, was Leanne.

Natsuro

One day, Sidney was sitting in her living room, watching tv. It was her first time home alone, and even though she had a huge craving, she stayed out of the junk food and pop. All of a sudden, she got a text that said; LOOK AT ME, I'M A MASS MURDERER! Probably just a wrong number or something she though. She started to mess around with the apps on her phone, when the tv chanel changed to the news.
"BREAKING NEWS! THERE'S A PHSYCO MURDERER ON THE LOOSE! CLOSE AND LOCK ALL YOUR DOORS! TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS, AND STAY IN GROUPS! HE'S A CLEVER DISGUISE ARTEST, SO BE WARNED!"
Sidney did as the Anchorman said, and called up her friends. She turned on the video camera at the front door, and sat on the couch, with a glass of water. She went into the washroom and turned on the tv. The anchorman was on again.
"WE FORGOT TO MENTION... HIS NAME IS NATSURO."
Sidny shuddered. She hoped Natsuro wouldn't come into her neighbourhood. She went back into the living room, and she heard a knock on the door, she checked the cameras, and it was her friends. She opened the door, and they weren't there. She closed it and went into the kitchen to get more water. She put her glass on the counter and turned around. Her old babysitter was sitting there, with her phone in hand.
"I hate it when kids grow up." she said. "I'd rather have one stay with me forever!" She turned around, grabbed the butcher knife and when she turned to face Sidney, she was a clown.
"You were my favourite, so I think I'll keep you." The clodwn stepped towards Sidney, and cut her head off.

Later that night, Sidney's parents came home. Their daughter was sitting on the couch, watching a horror movie; IT.
"Sidney, you know you're not aloud to watch this!" They said. They went up to the tv, and turned it off. When they turned around, and saw sidney's head proped up on the cushons, and her body on the floor. They walked up to her body, and saw the name; Natsuro carved into her back. they each pulled out their phones to phone the cops, when they heard someone whisper; "Natsuro."
They dropped to the floor, dead.
