The small white she-cat dipped her head to her mentor, smiling at him as she noticed him glance her way, then focused her attention on their leader. She let her bright blue eyes skim across the various pelts of her Clanmates, searching for Galepaw. She wanted to tell him about all of her training, like she'd promised! The apprentice looked around once more, then returned her full attention to her leader.

Fawndapple dipped her head to hide her face from the tom's line of vision, whiskers twitching. She padded over to the small hole, her dark paws silent against the earth, and crouched to pick up her squirrel and mouse. It wasn't much, but it was prey. She flicked at a beetle that was trying to climb onto the mouse, wrinkling her nose in disgust, then carefully picked it up by the tail. A glance sneaked upwards told her that Eveningsky had already left to return to camp, and she debated on whether to run to catch up. Would that make her seem to eager, like an apprentice? But if she stayed behind, would that make it seem like she didn't want his company? Frowning in annoyance, the pretty tabby eventually settled with staying a few tail-lengths behind him; a sort of compromise. She kept on snatching glances at him as she walked, but her gaze soon turned to the sky. The blue was slightly faded now, darkening on the horizon. Fawndapple carefully stepped over a fallen branch, prey swinging from her jaws as she caught a glimpse of the camp enterance.

You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat
I tried to find the sound
But then it stopped and I was in the darkness
So darkness I became"
The lovely, darkly coloured warrior only noticed then that she'd almost missed the joy that had flashed through his eyes a few moments before; listening to what he was saying intently. She nodded when he finished, agreeing that they hardly spent time together lately, but also agreeing with what he'd said about Featherstorm. She looked down sadly, catching a glimpse of the former deputy's still body in the clearing to the right of them but forced herself to look away at once; not wanting to feel sad... again. Moonshade flinched when she felt Wolfheart touch her, fearing he was going to hurt her. She had done that to her uncle when he had become deputy. Thistlefur had lashed out at her in annoyance when she had gone over to him happily, bouncing around his paws and purring proudly as she squeaked in delight. She had only been 2 moons old with her sister and brother along with her. Her uncle had always been bitter, but what did she know? She was only a young kit then. She had learned her lesson though, and was afraid of every sort of gesture she gave to Cloverstar as well. She knew Cloverstar was a good, kind leader, but Moonshade couldn't help but fear her a little. Her eyes opened slowly when he pulled back from returning the soft lick and quickly grew huge with shock. No matter how long they'd been friends, he'd never done that to her, and her to him. She was staring at the ground still, but raised her ominous face to look at his, noticing he was still very close to her. She swallowed hard when he asked her a question; his voice soft and quiet. She wondered how many cats were probably staring in shock at the two warriors. She nodded slowly, eyes still huge and tried to bring up some words. "Uh... Sure... I-I.. Hunting is good... We-" she broke off, shutting her eyes at once, along with her mouth. I'm such an idiot. Why am I nervous?! She opened her eyes once more, this time, using her well-known talents in hiding her real feelings to an emotionless, mysterious expression. "Yes." she finally answered softly, looking at him intently..: L I G H T H E A R T :.-MISTCLAN-♒ { Nervous, Excited, Confused } ♒"Though heavily we bled
Still on we crawl
Try to catch a cannonball.
And a slowly burning tide (oh)
Through my veins is flowing.
From my shipwreck I heard her call
And she sang
When you're tired of aiming your arrows,
Still you never hit the mark
And even if your aims are shadows
Still we're never gonna part
Come on baby don't let it break your heart"
Lightheart continued to groom her snowy fur, yawning when she noticed the moon was finally right over top of them. The young medicine cat blinked, feeling as though a pair of eyes was burning through her pelt to her skin. She knit her eyebrows in confusion, knowing at once that Hawkfeather had been staring at her for some time; the way she had to him. She swallowed hard and gave no indication of noticing and licked a forepaw as she flicked her tail. She finished licking and looked up, her dark, sea-blue eyes dazzling in the moonlight bathing the two in a small circle of light from the hole in the cave ceiling. She smiled and nodded. "Hopefully it'll be something good. I'm in no mood for bad news," she responded in a brisk, firm voice, laughing afterwards. She stood to stretch and lifted her head to stare up at the star-filled sky; now black with darkness. She padded slowly towards the pool's edge, looking into the shallow, yet dark waters. The rumbling of the waterfall only tail-lengths away from them felt so familiar and comforting to her - it reminded her of her old mentor, and the waterfall that had been in the heart of Stoneclan territory. Her father had taken her and her sister there to hide for a few nights when he had taken them away for their own safety and away from home, bringing the two she-cats here to Mistclan only a moon later. She remembered it wasn't as big as this one, but it looked very old and was her favourite resting place they'd found on their horrible journey. It also reminded her of Hawkfeather all the time. For some reason, she couldn't stop thinking of him tonight and forced herself to act sensible. She looked at him, blinking a few times. "It's time," she said in a clear, but soft voice with a hint of mystery behind it. She always felt strange when it was time to meet Starclan, but a good strange. Excited. Nervous. Curious.
