Blackvane Academy for Talented Youngsters (Closed for now)

Alex shot by, not hearing the question just her shouting after him. He shouted in excitement and spun to a halt on the main entrance floor just before colliding with Nina and Mel. He stood and jumped into the air. "What a ride! Let's go again!" he shouted into the air, which looked funny coming from a ten year old!
However the sled, now that it was no longer touching Alex began to melt in the warm of the summer air.

Claire stood up, still a bit shaken from almost getting hit by Alex on the sled, and walked over to Alex, angry. "You're crazy! You could of hurt someone!" She said angrily. The 13 year old kicked some of the half-melted ice towards him in annoyance.

"Ooh, can I have a ride?" Mel asked the boy in a loud voice, she was one for playing around. "Oh and by the way, I'm Malia by the way" she told the boy, holding out her hand.

The ten year old ignored Claire, he had always been a joker and didn't like people who ruined his jokes or fun but he took people who called him crazy as a compliment. He turned and took Mel's hand, giving a small, mock bow and kissing her hand politely like a prince might to meeting a princess. Again he was only joking, "The Pleasure is all mine!" he released her hand picked up the ice that had been kicked towards him and it immediately reformed, and then began to grow even larger so two people could now fit, "I have to stay on or else it will melt before you reach the bottom. If it was winter that wouldn't be a problem But yes, my sled is open to all those open minded!" he glanced at Claire and stuck his tongue out at her playfully.

Nina watched the boy carefully, she understood him and found him humorous. She had had a friend once just like him, but he had been her age, and she hadn't seen him since...well she won't talk about that last time they saw eachother.

Claire crossed her arms, now seriously annoyed with Alex. "I am open minded! But I almost got ran over!" She said, glaring at the 10 year old. "It might of been funny to you, but lets see who's laughing when you almost get ran over by a sled." She sighed and rolled her eyes.

"You haven't been in Canda long have you" Alex said looking her over like looking over a new bug he found in his path. "I lived in different cities around Canda, being tossed around by foster parents. Nearly got taken out by a few snowmobiles, which we call sleds here. This little thing" he waved the ice sled at her, "will maybe knock you out, those might kill you!" he laughed.

Nina looked at his and shook her head, "Kid, your going to get yourself killed" she said with a smile but weariness and distrust laced her voice.

Claire glared at Alex, not sure how to counter that. "Well- I..." She stuttered. It was true she hadn't been in Canada very long, only for the short while she'd been at the Academy. "I wouldn't be stupid enough to stand in the middle of the road where they would be riding snowmobiles." She said quietly, frowning. "I never had to worry about getting hit by someone on a sled while I was inside..."

Alex laughed, "Ok, i'll give you that!" he said, just to humor her because he could tell she had been thrown by his last few facts. He looked around and the group and seemed to remember something, "You know i never introduced myself! Alexander Lee Ice, At your service. Come on lets go ride!" he began walking back towards the stairs and poked Claire playfully as he passed, "Lighten up and live a little! It isn't living if you don't almost die a few times!" he called back laughing.

Nina blinked a little confused and remember she needed to find check in. She looked around, no signs, just a huge building with lots of stairs, door, and hallways. She huffed looking at Claire, "I just got here, you don't happen to know where i go now do you?" she asked.

"I'll think about it..." Claire told Alex, honestly having no interest in sledding down the stairs. Then she turned towards Nina, and smiled lightly. "I think you probably would go to the main office, probably." She said. "And that's just right over that way." She pointed to her right at a door.

Nina glanced between the girl an the door and nodded, "thanks" she turned and headed in that direction. A woman sat at a desk behind a computer when she entered and she smiled and looked up, "Nina Revotran, yes we were expecting your arrival! Here i have everything ready for you" said the lady grabbing a folder beside her. Nina felt bad, she knew she must be the last person to arrive.

Alex wasn't going to climb up all those stairs. Before he was a good 5 flights up and that would take forever to climb! He closed his eyes and ice began gathering around his feet, but it was misty and unshaped, "Here" he took her hand and the ice began up the stairs, taking the two people with it up the stairs at a decent speed.
