Rebecca herself had never been much of a fighter but seeing Guy tormenting the village mad her blood boil. When he turned to face the children she started swinging herself back and forward causing her back to bleed from the lashings already received. When Guy turned to face her and raised the whip she put her entire effort and weight into kicking him full on in the face and hung limp again but with her head held high in challenge. Next time he wouldn't be so confident.

Arowin nodded and rode right on by the villager stopping on the outskirts on the village and pulled herself up onto the roof of a hut and slunk forward with bow in hand and quiver on her back. She could head Guy's brazen voice jeering at a few children. Typical. Then suddenly she heard the swinging of ropes and just in time managed to get a view of Rebecca ramming her feet at guy's face.

Please could you kill off Rebecca, I want to make another character and I am getting to bored with her, plus this will give the Hood something to avenge.

Oh let him sneak out, this will give him a chance to bond with the rest of the Hood.

Guy didn't have time to move before Rebecca's feet slammed into his face with such force he was sent onto his back. He lay there for a moment, dazed, when he heard the villagers cheering and could feel blood spilling out of his nose. He growled and wiped it up, standing to his feet and ignoring the pain that throbbed across his face. He threw down the whip and pulled out his sword. He looked Rebecca dead in the eyes and then stabbed her right in the chest,watching to make sure all the life poured out of her eyes before taking it out and pointing it at the crowd, who was silenced with shock. "Let this be a lesson to you all!" he growled. "Those who dare challenge me will end up like this girl here. Dead by my sword. And if I don't get to you, the devil will. Let those of you who wish to oppose me do so now. Let's get this over with! We all know who wins in the end, and that will always be me."

Emerald was creeping into the village, just about to make her move when Rebecca kicked Guy. She started to cheer along with the crowd. "Atta girl, Becca." she whispered. But when Guy got up and pulled out his sword, Emerald knew what was coming next, but she was too far to do anything. She sank to her knees behind a hut and gasped, putting a hand over her mouth. Not another one. Not Becca. She hadn't done much fighting with the Hood, why did it have to be her? She only half listened to Guy's speech, but she managed to hear him throw out the challenge. With a scowl she rose to her feet and walked out from behind the hut, unsheathing her sword. "I'll accept your challenge, father dear." she sneered. She looked to the villagers. "This," she said, gesturing to Guy with her sword. "Is not a victor nor a ruler to any of you. What you look at is not a man wizened by time, but old and wrinkled by it. What uou cower at is the face and voice of a man no stronger than my pinkie!" Guy just scowled. "About time you showed up. I know you haven't come alone. Who else have you brought with you to die today?"

Frank had watched Emerald and Arowin leave, a little lost on where they were actually going but he thought it best to sta back. He had placed himself on a chair and was rocking back and forth on it, slowly drinking cup after cup of mead, so mucho that he fell into a drunken slumber, his head lolling about as he rambled non verbal word, limbs limp and eyes rolling until his eyelids shut over them. Soon the sound of jagged snoring filled the air and rough breathing, chest heavy as he 'slept'.

Arowin watched as Rebecca fought her first and final battle. She stood up on the roof as Emerald drew Guy's attention. A numbness came over her as she saw her friend hanging there. As Guy threw the last question at Emerald Arowin shot an arrow through the rope holding Rebecca up as an answer and had already placed a second one in her bow as the guards all looked up to her. "You really shouldn't have done that Guy." she said with an emotionless voice aiming her arrow right at him to let him know that she could kill him without hesitation but this would be Emerald's glory, not hers.

Guy, startled, looked over when he heard the thud of Rebecca's body hit the dirt. Go figure, there was an arrow in the ropes. He turned around to face Arrowin, a taunting smirk on his face. "Like you, a little outlaw, could scare me." In truth, she did though. She scared him, and Sheriff when he had been alive, and most recently, even the King had come to fear her. "What are you going to do to me? You're good with a bow. So what? You're not very good here." he said tapping his forehead. "I mean, you gave control of your group to my daughter! My daughter! She can't tell her left hand from her right one, much less know how to run a group of outlaws!"

Emerald scowled, hers almost perfectly matching the one her father had been wearing seconds earlier. "I do know my left hand from my right one." she growled under her breath. "You know you're outnumbered. Me, Arrowin, the villagers. Against you and two guards? We would most certainly win." "Those weaklings won't help you." Guy snapped, gesturing to the villagers as he turned around to face her again. Emerald quickly looked up at Arrowin. "Get the horses ready. We'll be riding out to the castle." she said, not caring if her father heard. "Why on earth would you do that?" "Because I'll have your dead body slung over my horse's back." she snarled, raising her sword and Guy doing the same. The villagers scattered back, giving them plenty of room to fight. This was it. If she could manage to kill her father, she wanted to be the one to bring the news to the king.

The guards moved forward to defend Guy, the first to reach Emerald was rewarded with an arrow through his neck and the second was shot int eh back as he turned to run for it. Arowin jumped off the hut she was on jumping onto Ace's back and grabbed Envy's reins and rode around to where Rebecca lay. She dismounted trusting Emerald to keep Guy busy in the fight as she collected the fallen member's body. With little effort she managed to pick Rebecca up and placed her gently across her grey horse's back. Rebecca had been small in life but looked even smaller in death. Fair and cut down in her youth. Arowin lead her the horses to the side and stood with them guarding Rebecca's body and watching the fight ready to step in if anything happened.

Guy was the first to attack, charging Emerald and taking a good swing at her side. Emerald had to roll out of the way if she wanted to keep her insides inside of her. When she sprang up she turned around, casting a blow at Guy's back. It landed but didn't cut very deep. Guy scowled at his daughter and then charged again, this time catching Emerald's sword. The next few swings were like that and the sound of metal hitting metal clanged through the streets. Emerald, again, rolled away, disengaging their swords. This time it was she who charged, but Guy managed to get out of the way and cut her across her forearm. Emerald sucked in a breath and looked down, her cut gushing blood. Now she was really pissed. She lunged at her father, their swords meeting again and again until finally she found an unguarded spot near his shoulder. She brought her sword down, the blade cutting deep into her father's shoulder. She could feel the blade cutting through muscle and bone and sinew, nearly destroying Guy' shoulder. Guy sank to his knees, screaming, but he managed to jab at Emerald's side, this time cutting her. She growled and kicked Guy in the chest, sending him onto his back and the blade being ripped out of him. He just lay there, clutching his shoulder. "And so the student finally masters the master." she said quietly, her blade resting on Guy's chest, right above his heart. "Just kill me." he snapped, his voice breathy and strained. Clenching her teeth, Emerald backed up. "Stand." she ordered him, and the old man stood with trouble. He gripped his sword as best he could with one hand. the other hanging limply by his side. They stood there for a moment, silent and calculating, when suddenly Guy charged. He swung at Emerald so hard and so fast she couldn't do anything but block and back up. He raised his sword, determined on bringing the blade down upon her head, when Emerald shut her eyes and just swung her sword, hoping for a hit. Emerald opened her eyes to see her father on the floor, A gaping hold in his side and his insides spilling from him. She gasped and dropped her sword, stepping back and staring aghast at what she had done. Guy just looked up at her, struggling to cling on to life. "Emerald..." he rasped, and she knelt down by him, still shocked. "I did this..." she whispered. "Emerald..." "What, father, what?" "I...always..." and then he exhaled, his body going limp and his onyx eyes forever closed. Emerald took off her father's left glove and pulled the ring from his finger, the one from when he was married to her mother. The villagers were slowly starting to come out from behind their hiding spots, peeking at the aftermath, but Emerald was already gone, running over to where Arrowin was waiting.
