Adopt a Newbie - Moving to new thread

Yay, some newbies have joined! Welcome to all the newbies and hope you guys have fun on CS!

(Crap, I just realized how long it'll most likely take me to get a newbie...)

Yes, the list has grown awfully long. Dx But its good to see members so eager to help. I've even seen some members promote the thread when posting in the introductions thread, that's a great way to get more newbies and assign them personal guides.

Ya, it is long. I guess that means lots of people to help out newbies! I added the stamp/banner in my signature so hopefully more people (newbies mainly) will see it. I say mainly newbies since we have a long list of waiting adopters.

Why should you be able to adopt a newbie?: Because I made many mistakes on CS and i learned from all of them and i want to help some newbies not make the same mistakes ive made.
Why do you want to?: Becasue i really want to help them because i never really had that kind of guidence here.
Are you going to help them whenever they need it?: YES! Hahaha

How You Found Chicken Smoothie: recommended by a friend, I didn't really want to join because I thought it was a site for only girls buut my little sister convinced me otherwise. I've seen at least 2 others who are guys like me on this site and they are very nice

Any Questions?: I have a few... umm I don't know much about raritys or trading... soo heres one for now: whats the differences between an common, uncommon, or rare pet and how do you know what the newborns will turn out to be?

Why should you be able to adopt a newbie?: I often search the users list and randomly give newbies some good pets to start out with, I call them starter packs. They really like to get them and it makes me feel good to give them.
Why do you want to?: I want to because even though how nice it is to randomly give them out, I would like something more consistent, I will still however gift some other newbies.
Are you going to help them whenever they need it?: of course I will! I will help them to the best of my knowledge!

Well, trading fairly is just based on rarities.
Some people differ on their rarities, but it normally is like this:
1 08 uncommon = 1 08 uncommon
3 09 rares = 3 09 rares
Etc.
Rats are not worth as much as dogs and cats.
Horses, Rabbits, Spiders, and Rats are not worth as much as Dogs, Cats, or anything else.

The best way is to slowly start trading up the pet you do have, trade a couple 2012 pets for a 2011 pet, and continue in that way, trading several uncommons for a rare and such. You can also visit the giveaway forums, often times newbies can get some good trade fodder out of there that can help you trade up. You can also get rares from events, at Christmas lots of older pets are 're-released' and you can get a really rare pet by just clicking an adopt button. Rares can usually be 'bought' with gathered items at Halloween, Easter, and other holiday, though normally those rares are worth less because they were easy to obtain. The only other way to get rares is if your lucky, sometimes there are rare monthly outcomes.

Well if you ever want to know if I trade is fair or not you can always use the "Is This A Fair Trade Thread?", where people will tell you if your trade is fair or not.
