Running loose on the edge(human, tame, and wild horse)

Jonathan came back with two apples,"hungry?" he said kicking the apple towards her.

Staring at him and then back at the apple, she slowly took it and ate it, though still found herself at the back of the cave.

Lucy started to trot around bored. She quickened to a canter, then a gallop. She threw her head and flicked her tail.

Jonathan ate his apple and then laid down."You should join our band." he said to the mare. "pardon my manners what is your name?" he asked smiling.

Shanti watched Lucy gallop around.

Lakota pressed herself against the cool edge of the cave, her nostrils flaring still. "Join your band? Really?" She shook her head a little hysterically, "Is it yours?"

"nope, just a member. Its nice plenty of space, lots of other mares and stallions, but most have mates.We all have a history basically a bunch of misfits in one." Jonathan said normally staring at the mare." My name is Jonathan" he said finally hoping she would tell hers back.

"All you want me for is to birth your foal, and its true. Stupid stallions." She turned away from him, and moved away, not at all enticed by his form of this whole herd. Most would only have one breeding stallion.. this was different. She flicked her tail against her legs, shaking off imaginary flies, trying to ignore the stallion.

"suit yourself,but it gets lonely out here, Trust me I know, and the rest of the band does to. You can come or not. Would i like to see my foal/colt? yes, but i wont make you join a band. I only snaked you, because i caught your scent." jonathan said a little bit harshly.He walked over to the mare and nuzzled her neck. If you do not come tell the foal/colt their father would have wanted them if he could.

Lakota stood stricken by the nuzzle, almost pushing herself against the wall once more. She was tempted to rear again, but instead she accepted it. "Fine, I will."

(A foal is a newborn horse, and remains one until either 6 months or a year. Then depending on its gender its either a colt (male) or a filly (female))

Jonathan walked out the cave and back down to the band.He left a pile of apples outside the cave. He knew that hunger would be hard on a pregnant mare.
