As far as trading goes, I suggest you get your trades checked on Is this a fair Trade? Thread just because some pets are worth more than others. The Understanding Rarities Guide should be helpful too, so you get the idea of why older pets are worth more.

The adopters list is fairly long, and goes from top to bottom. You most recently joined and are at the bottom of the list, so you'll have to wait until the members above you get newbies because some have joined from page one & still haven't received newbies. The process all depends on how many newbies we get and how quickly we can hand them out.
And no, BlueSquirrel has already been given an adopter. Please don't jump ahead of the line and adopt a newbie without being given one by a AAN staff member for it creates confusion and is unfair to other members.

Because I'm pretty knowledgable about CS, I've been on here for awhile. I know pretty well what's fair, what people want and the like, and I won't let them make a bad trade c: I do view all pets equal no matter the species, but I understand that most people don't want, say, a rat, and that '09s are more expensive than '11s.
Why do you want to?:
I remember when I first joined CS, I wouldn't go to the forums. I had roleplayed on other sites and loved it, but I saw the forums here and just freaked out. It was terrifying. If someone had been there to explain it all to me though, maybe I would have enjoyed CS a bit more. So I guess you could say because I want everyone to get everything out of CS that they can.

Yes, the list has grown awfully long. Dx But its good to see members so eager to help. I've even seen some members promote the thread when posting in the introductions thread, that's a great way to get more newbies and assign them personal guides.
