Deciding against going home he thought of going to the sea to collect shells. He hadn't been there in some time and needed to get some small conches for a necklace he was making. Turning from his own street he waddled with his satchel towards the salty air and smiled. Deciding to whistle a tune as he went. He felt rather good today.

A rune passed her by. Reef didn't care so much, she just wanted to see the machines. Her sea blue eyes sparkled as she made her way toward the city. She paused and turned, toward the other rune, watching from afar with an intense gaze. What could this one be doing?

Marlow had noticed the sea coloured rune and stopped smiling. Maybe she would like a trinket or perhaps a scarf. He flapped a wing in a wave hoping she was friendly.

She watched him. What in the sea could that one be doing? It seemed to be a friendly gesture, but you never know with living things... How did you communicate to runes again? Reef wasn't able to practice for a time now... She continued watching. She guessed she could communicate if she tried... but she won't. Not now. Maybe...

Marlow sighed and then turned away from the other rune. The female seemed uninterested so he continued on his way to the beach. He needed those shells.

She shrugged and moved toward the city... then she realized what that rune was up to. She rushed toward him, with a surprising speed, even if she hasn't moved on land for quite some time.
"What do you think you're doing?!!"
For a moment, she smiled at herself. So you still remember how to communicate, she thought.

Marlow looked to the strange acting female Rune and smiled. "Oh i am collecting Shells to make necklaces. Why is there something wrong?" He looked to her quizzically. He wasn't sure if she was angry with him or she was just interested highly.

"Those shells are-were-are going to be, some of my friends'... acquaintances' homes. Some creatures depend on those shells," she uh... communicated.
She didn't like people who stole from her... acquaintances. Basically, she didn't like runes who took from the sea unless the were going to eat whatever directly. Necklaces? What is the use of those strange strings anyway? She had heard of them... but she still didn't understand what they were for.

Marlow moved backwards and sighed at the female. So many water runes didnt understand him. "I never take the ones that are home worthy rune. I simply take the ones that i can thread. I have watched them reject them. I never taking one who needs a home" He said lifting the rough necklace out of his satchel. Its shells were covered in holes and scratches from prey trying to ge to the food inside. "See water rune. Nothing could possibly find homes within these" He said looking at her offended slightly that she accused a perfect stranger.
