The guards smirked and shoved them into the King's courtroom. Cara fell to the floor, face ashen. She slowly picked herself up.

Lucy smiled happily.

Jasper winced as they were thrown, and he hurried to Cara.

The king looked at them, disgust in his eyes.

Cam laughed.

Cara hurried to him, scanning her eyes over his body to make sure he wasn't hurt. "Are you alright?" she whispered.

Lucy poked him back, giggling again.

Jasper nodded. "Yeah, what about you?" He asked, looking into her eyes.

Cam smiled, and poked her forehead.

"I'll be okay," she said softly, slipping her hand into his. Slowly, she turned to face the King.

She poked his nose and giggled.

Jasper looked at his father, scowling.

The king crossed his arms. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill the both of you?"

"I can give you five," Cara said bravely, "if not more."

The king raised an eyebrow. "Then tell me."
