Not many understand the comfort I get when I walk into a bookstore and take a deep breath as I look around. I feel at home; I feel welcome. I don't have to purchase anything. Being surrounded by books fills me with a sense of security.

She sank into his arms. "It was awful, Jasper. They were screaming for me while someone drowned them in the lake, but I couldn't help them. The person had me tied to a tree, and they made me watch." Cara sniffled, feeling the tears as they stung her eyes.
