So it's been a while since I've been on here, and I don't know if anyone was particle physics enthusiast, but there is a seminar at CERN tomorrow at 9am CET (4th July) tentatively named Higgsdependence Day.

It will get quite a lot of press coverage I expect for a day or two, but you can watch the seminar live and the HIggs results that are going to be presented at http://webcast.web.cern.ch/webcast/

I'm basically passing this on to anyone I think might be interested. I'll be watching, ideally from the room that it will be broadcast from, but I don't think I will be able to fight for a seat as its a smallish auditorium.

Someone on a different website told me that on that day, they found a particle similar to the Higg's boson. Is that what they talked about?

Yes! Both the large experiments at CERN have "observed" a particle which looks very much like the Higgs particle they have been searching for for the past 20 years with the LHC and earlier experiments at CERN.

Hi!! I've just finished my triple sciences at GCSE (all A's for science) , and now I'm just doing the Chemistry and Biology at A-level! The exams for the first 3 units in any of the sciences, (if you're on the OCR 21st Centry Science syllabus) are very easy, for my exam is was mostly tickboxes.
