I nodded my head and sniffed the air. Old nachos, Zeus, humans, soda pop and the scent of bird hung in the air. I inspected the area, trying to realize where the bird was. On one of the low branches on a tree stood an American Robin, completely unaware of my presence. I stalked forward until I wasn't far from the tree. Then I leaped up and onto the branch, attempting to dig my claws into the bird. But no, when I dug my claws in the bird thrashed around and before I had the chance to stop it the American Robin escaped my grip and flew away frantically.

"Probably not." I replied and preceded to jump onto the next branch above me. I stood there shakily, somewhat frightful of what might happen if I fell. But I continued to climb, trying my best to keep my balance as I leaped from branch to branch. It was odd being so high, yes I was a cat but never had I been so high up. I stopped at the next branch, too scared to continue. I trembled slightly but held my grip onto the rough bark, my expression showing my terror.

"My name is Rogue, not Mittens, not Oscar, Rogue. Got it, punk?"

"And I'm a German Rex, duh. Have you even been out of your den at all?"

"Well I'm obviously a she-cat. Are you asking me to rip your eyes out of that thick skull of yours?! "

"And I live as a stray. I don't need things handed over to me in a silver bowl. But I do admit I admire how they whine and cry all the time, I mean my throat's pain would've killed me if I wailed that much."

Who You Are

Personality
Rogue's heart may be clothed in a sheet of ice but her temper is fiery. She isn't one to follow rules, Rogue is a leader and never will she become a follower. She actually takes pride in her independence and won't likely share her life with a partner, no matter what the situation is. But being alone does affect her life and her lifestyle. Rogue uses her time rather wisely, only on scouring food or finding the next resting stop, after all no one would dare take her in and protect her from all the cold ways of the world. But she is a rather jealous of the pampered pets free time, even though she won't ever admit such things. The world is hard and Rogue has taken the worst of it through her life, but that has indeed made her a strong soul, one who is persistent enough to not cower away from the face of death and continue on her journey. She will not hold back in a fight, her claws have shown enough, no, more than enough cats. But that doesn't make her immortal, she has lost her tail and has gained many scars, nearly lost her right eye as well.
Might I add she is as stubborn as a rock? Or perhaps you already have guessed that? Either way she is, and will never become any softer.


History
Rogue, born as Pumpkin, was only one out of the four kittens her mother, Amber, had kitted. She had often had to deal with a large amount of wailing, produced not only by her siblings but her mother as well. Rogue, or Pumpkin, often believed it was caused by her father abandoning her mother for a significantly younger and lovelier, slender she-cat. Luckily for the kittens and Amber they were taken in by a young couple, but unlike Rogue's father they were reliable and understanding. Rogue being such a curious kitten at the time hobbled towards the main entrance. She had often seen her owners slip in and out of this gateway to the outdoor world, which was her home for a tremendous amount of time. [But not a good one at that.]
She rambled to her mother that it was calling for her to go out. Foolishly the she-cat let her daughter escape. After a day of walking along the cold pavement she desired to go home and cuddle up by the fire, which was probably just being started at home. But curiosity got the best of her that day because she was then snatched up by a nasty little boy. He tortured her from dawn to dusk, making her starve in a desolate box outside of his house, hidden behind brambles. A few days later his mother had discovered the box in her failed garden. She dumped Rogue out and sent her on her way, she even gave her son a good spanking.
From then on Rogue's heart had become colder and colder, and her fighting had become better and better. She has never found her way home and doesn't plan to either.
