Taylor nodded slightly. "No problem." Slenlostened to his theory. "Yeah, that's be a good idea, but we just have to remember nature. Don't forget she's just as deadly." Taylor rubbed her temple. "God, I'm stupid!" She didn't elaborate, but she continued to rub her temple in a slow circular motion. "It might be easier if we had that girl over there, you know. If we could convince her..." Taylor liked to think that it wasn't Nick that was in charge, but that it was her or Hallum. They were the careers, not Nick. She wanted to be in charge. Or maybe the four girl.

The day began to get hotter to Isis, and she lay panting on the hot sand, still using the cactus for shade. She considered drinking her water, but decided against it, wanting to save up. "I need to start thinking of a plan..." she said aloud, and realized this was the first time she actually opened up her mouth during this whole time. Rubbing the back of her neck, she began muttering under her breath, "Alright, so, this is desert. Hot during the day, cold during the night. This cactus can give me water if I absolutely need it, and these flowers seem edible. The needles can be used for protection. I should dig a hole in the ground deep enough so my whole body can fit in, empty my backpack, and put it on top. I should dig slightly to the left and curl up to hide myself any lurking tributes. The backpack should keep creatures away, and being underground should keep me warm enough during the night and cool enough in the day. I'll only leave when I need to..." It sounded like a rational plan. To start it, she began to dig ferociously into the sand, marveling at how wet it seemed when she got near to the cactus roots. A rush of relief came through her as she began to figure out that it wouldn't collapse on top of her. She had only dug half her size when she spotted yet again more tributes in the distance. I should be done before nightfall, she told herself in her mind.

Nick raised a questioning brow when she called herself stupid, but he didn't inquire as to why, not wanting to pry. "good point. I have to say the cornicopia is the best shelter here probably. The tarp keeps it cook in the day and warm at night, as well as keeps any creatures out." he said, lookig at their shelter. He knew the girl was upset for not being in charge, but he wouldn't compromise. He was in charge, they were working with him, not under him though. "I don't trust her completely, and im not sure she would be able to help much... But if you think she can, I trust you." he said, meeting her gaze with even intensity. He needed them to know he wasn't the ruler, he was just the leader and they had a day in what haloened as well.

Taylor sighed. "I shouldn't have volunteered." She looked up to find Nick watching her. "Cornucopia for now, ok? If we stay there for too long, the rest of the careers come back and stab us in our sleep. And that reminds me; watches. We need to figure out who and how long watches are going to be. I'm not going to have all of us sleeping at once. That's a suicide note right there. I mean, let's sleep in the day if we have to. And food. We need to ration food and water until we find an Oasis. Unless we want to die. Each of us should carry equal weight, so that we don't exhaust either. Your do will have to carry stuff too, so we don't kill ourselves." Taylor folded her arms and stood up, beckoning for them to follow her to the shade of the Horn. "Do you know if anybody is in there?" She glanced over her shoulder. "I really do hope she cooperates. I like her spunk."

Nick picked up his sword and looked at the horn "No, no one is in there." he said, pushing open the flap. As soon as it was open a large snake cooked up, hissing at him. Nick jumped back to avoid being bitten and pushed Taylor out of the way just as the snake lunged. He used his sword to block it from biting his ankle and stepped back. "I figured this may happen. Thought it would be lizards though, don't know why the snake is in the shade." he said, watching the coiled snake. "Are you ok? It almost got you." he said, ignoring the stinky sensation on his lower calf. It was a dry bite thankfully, but it still hurt."It didn't bite you, right?"

Taylor gasped as Nick opened the flap. She pulled her sword out in front of her defensively when she felt a hand connect to her body and knock her backwards. She rolled as FAQ as she could and scrambled to her feet, panicked. "Oh my god!" she yelled, approaching. "Kill it!" The instant the words left her mouth, she regretted it. "Never mind, let me do it." She swapped her sword in her right for her spear in her left. She prodded the snake with the sharp end and opened a small cut. The snake hissed and coiled tighter. Taylor stabbed it again and it sprung towards her. She stabbed its stomach in midair; a pure fluke. Taylor scowled, and stepped back, stabbing it again and again, continuing to miss its head. "Hold still," she snarled. "And let me stab you." She brought her sword down on it and cleaved it clean in half. "Nope. I'm good," she said breathlessly. "What about you?" She glanced down at its mangled body. "Euaugh. At least all of the Careers are gone, and we can keep the 'copia."

.:Minna/District 8/1 Knife/1 Almost Full Bottle of Water/Tired:.

I had probably been a quite a while by now, Minna reckoned as she finished the belt that she would put the pouch on, not that she was an expert. As she had worked, she had taken small sips from her bottle, and refilled it from small cuts that she made in the cactus. She had watched for movement, and the most noticable events were to do with the careers. While she worked, she also cut of a large catcus needle to use as a handcrafted blowgun, with cactus needles as the blowdarts. Now the only problem was how she was going to hide in the night. She looked up at the sky for the second time in the day and whispered to herself, and the audience, "Hide me."

Nick sat down on one of the crates at the edge of th opening. He took off his boot and pulled up his pant led to look at the bitemark on his calf. "Damn." he muttered, wincing as he get the area around the red wound. "Good, I'm glad it didn't get you." he said, pouring some water on corner of his shirt and dabbing the slightly bloody wound. "I have a feeling the district one boy will come back, he seemed to have a 'let me cut open your back today and stab you in your sleep tomorrow' look when I beat him from the cornicopia." he said, dabbing the wound as he spoke.

Leah nodded once she saw Azalea was following. She began to trudge across the desert terrain, her eyes desperately searching for some source of water. She licked her lips longingly, her mace in hand. Her hand began to swear around the handle, the leather feeling hot against her palm.
Leah hated heat. She didn't like the beating sun, not at all. She preferred a breezy day, yes with sunlight, but at least with a breeze. But no, there was no breeze, no cool air, just humid, hot, merciless beams of damn sun. And Leah wasn't pleased.
She gazed around, her eyes narrowed coldy, her eyes icy and dangerous. She was definitely in a bad mood-well, she was always-but especially now because it was hot and she was in a desert. And one more thing to ruin her day? She was in the Hunger Games.

* I climb back up the tree and take a sip of water and than have some bunny legs. I am so thirsty all the time. My lips are cracked and chapped I rub my fingers on them and some what make it feel better. I wonder who is leading the careers this year. I ask myself. I take my knives out of the tree and put them into the garbage bag. I go to cactus, the last cactus for a little while, and cut it open. I drink from it until there is no more water left. I get my jacket and wash the rabbit blood off it, than I put it around my waste. No canons have blown for a little while, I wonder whats happening out there. I grab three more big rocks and start carving them. My knife will be dull soon, but I got these. I look up to make sure nothing is up there than I look to the ground and see some bugs crawling around. I look at the palm tree and see spiders shifting around, than I look at the water and see snakes on top of it swimming around. Those are all the dangers I know of.
