typos, typos...this had been done on a phone. I apologize for vague stuff and typos.
Owner Name:

Name:
Cao
Gender:
Female
Personality:
Cao is a slightly mischievous rune, stealing things from others and whatnot. She loves looking for a bit of trouble and gets herself into it successfully most of the time. However, this is not because she is mischievous in nature. She had to learn how to steal and forage for food as she lived among the people in the bustling cities of Asia. With enough discipline, she can be taught not to steal something in particular. But she needs to be taught that tacos cannot be stolen, or else she will steal, even if you tell her dumplings should not be stolen.
However, these are mostly mild steals. It's always food, never anything else. And Cao is usually a rune with her manners and etiquette. Stealing is a habit, a trait, she learned from her days.
Speaking of etiquette, Cao has excellent manners and treats most everyone with respect and courteousy (sometimes, strange people with an eerie aura scare her a bit). She has a charisma that is...mischievous, yet very innocent and charming, if that makes sense.
However, she is impatient, and doesn't like waiting at all. When she works making and selling dumplings, she hates people that are not ready to order or not ready to pay. There are so many other people to please...why can't they be prepared? That's what she thinks. So, it's not that she's impatient because she is, it's because she'd like things to go quickly and easily.
Cao is also eager to please. I think she lives to serve. However, her instinct to serve faded away into her unconscious mind, and doesn't feel too strongly to serve. However, even as she lived on the streets, she strived to help others when they seemed like they needed it.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
Dumplings. I love dumplings. They are one of the best foods there ever was. Maybe I'm a bit biased because I'm asian, but I cannot tell you how much I love it. It's just a diverse variety of them and it's just amazing the different varieties of them you can make.
I remember I would always buy dumplings, and my grandma would prepare them for me. It was always delicious, and I absolutely loved it. A dumpling rune it's just...ah! Love.
Where will you keep him/her:
Uh. Everywhere. She'll be in my character thread, once I get off my lazy butt to do that. She'll be showcased in my signature (once I get back from Maryland) and she'll definitely have at least once art thing, if not a bunch from me. She will be loved for sure, and she has found a place in my heart and...stomach (no, I will not eat pixels. That's not what I mean. And I'm getting hungry....). But if entrusted In my care, she will never be neglected. Ever.
Would you like to breed him/her in the feature:
Sure. I'm thinking of a plan for her...but it's just a thought xD
Any Quirks:
When Cao gets irritated, her head starts getting jerky and tends to click her tongue and blinks rapidly. Why, no one knows...
And when she gets nervous for whatever reason, she'll tug on her red string and start hyperventilating. Just...some panic moment, I guess?
Other:
Cao chirped wildly as she zig-zagged through the numerous rows of streaming hot dumplings. The young man smiled at her as dumplings appeared magically out of his hands. Many people had flooded to the petite stand, crying out for some more delicious dumplings and pumping their fists in the air. The man waved his hands and shouted something to the people. They cheered and stampeded toward the humble dumpling stand. Cao sniffed the air and sighed happily. It was to be a busy day.
But how did this rune dragon find herself here? She didn't just appear there one day. For every happy story, there's always some history behind it. Many say these are cheesy and a sob story. Maybe this is Cao's sob story. But, if you are interested...you may listen.

"Ma, what's that?"
"Nothing, move along."
The mother patted the child's shoulder as he protested that he didn't get to see it do tricks. As their chattering faded
into the distance, Cao peeked out from the trash can she had retreated to as they were arguing back and forth. Cao sighed and continued her way down the empty sidewalk. She was a strange spectacle, and she was painfully aware of that. She shimmied up a tree and sat there, waiting for the sun to make its way around the world so she can continue on with her journey.
The next day, Cao woke up with a loud yawn. Her eyelids drooping, she blinked slowly, stretching her wings in preparation to fly. And then she flew, rarely
flapping her wings as she soared through the air. It was a marvelous day...marvelous enough to...
An old lady was hobbling slowly across a busy intersection. Cao suddenly felt the urge, the desire, to help that woman. But she doubted herself. Should she?
She swooped down to hover in front of the elderly lady as she tried to escort the lady toward the safest way possible.
But the lady didn't think so. She shooed the strange creature away, taunting Cao as she went in to describe her as an omen...and a bad one. Cao swerved and flew away from the ranting woman and landed on a worn-out building. The pigeons scattered about as Cao made her landing.
She sighed and gazed forlornly at the world. The bustling streets, the boisterous people, the delicious smells of food...
Her stomach protested as it groaned in agony over the absence of food in her tummy. She rubbed her wings on her belly, trying to calm it down but...it wasn't working...
She silently crept up behind an unsuspecting man and took a bite out of his sandwich as he conversed with the person next to him. Cao felt a bit terrible, eating his food when he didn't give permission. It was wrong, but a necessity.
A flick on her head snapped her awake from her moral reflections. Annoyed, she clicked her tongue, jerking her head abnormally as she started at the stranger with her one, golden eye.
He was different, yet the same as everyone else in the city. He had the hand of a carpenter, yet looked so
frail and meek. He adopted an amused smirk as he watched her click her tongue and jerk her head randomly.
His expression was...unlike the ones before him. Everyone has given her piercing glares and disapproving shakes of the head. This man was different. But yet...his face so familiar among the crowds in the busy market places of the city -- of the country, even. She stopped her head bobbing and stared at the new man once again. Would he...be different?
The man smiled and shook his head as he pointed at his sandwich.
"Did you do this?" he asked, hinted with slight amusement. Cao reluctantly nodded and made a strange sound that sounded like a blend of a huff and a sniffle. He smiled in a sort of pity as he handed the sandwich to her.
"No taking sandwich. Finish what you eat," he told Cao as he cleaned up and walked away. Cao blinked once. Then twice. And then finished the sandwich in three minutes. Cao pondered over this man...who gave her some hope.
Cao woke up in a dumpster and looked around at her bleak surroundings. The man was gone. But of course, he was already gone, so... Cao sniffed through the trash, trying to salvage some bits and scraps of foods that may have been thrown out. It rarely happens, but it does sometimes.
Cao finally settled on a meager piece of a bone and munched on it until it became a strange powder in her mouth. Full, but unsatisfied, she wobbled her way toward the marketplace. They always had food there. And things to see. Cao glided above the marketplace, looking for random things to collect. As she wandered through the feet of the visitors, bits of finely carved wood fell to the floor. Some were very plain: just two sticks whittled nicely. But others! Some of the others were incredible! They were colorful branches, made completely smooth and thin. Yet, as Cao found out, they are strong. And was strangely...cold to the touch. Maybe it wasn't wood and branches?
She carefully scooped them up with her jaws and flapped her wings to find herself a dumpling stand, whatever dumplings were. And whatever they were, maybe these sticks would help in getting them.
Cao landed on a lightpole and watched the so-called dumpling stand do its business. People were talking to a man, whose hands magically made dumplings out of thin air. Men and women and children left the stand content with eating these dumplings, savoring every bite of it. Cao scowled; she wanted some too. So when the man left the stand for a quick break, she made her move.
As she scanned her surroundings to see if anyone was watching, she dove into the sea of steaming dumplings. It was terribly warm, and for the first time, she actually felt happy for the first time. But why?
Suddenly, the man towered over her, watching her relax in the dumplings as she happily munched on the one next to her. Immediately, she hung her head and fought back tears of regret as guilt came crashing down on her. The man only chuckled and scooped her up from the dumplings. He curiously picked up her sticks.
"This yours?" he asked goodnaturedly. Cao nodded mindlessly and blinked. Hadn't she seen him once before?
Yes! It was the man with the sandwich. Cao squeaked with delight as age finally realized who he was.
"I remember too," he said as if he knew what Cao was thinking. A growing commotion snapped the man into focus as he watched the line for dumplings grow. He looked at Cao and wiggled his eyebrows.
"You want to help?"
An excited chirp escaped Cao as she flew to his side.
