"Well your going to be disappointed, he isn't Kira." Miki said, glaring back at him.

[Hornz]

L turned away from her. "You're really starting to make me curious as to why you are so defensive. If Light-kun isn't Kira, you wouldn't be acting this defensive."

[Jikkah]

"I'm being defensive because you locked up my boyfriend!" she pointed out. "Maybe if you had any feelings at all, you'd see that...!"

[Hornz]

L made a soft 'mm?' sound. He glanced over his shoulder at Miki again. "Just because I don't show emotion doesn't mean that I don't have any at all. I'm just better at keeping a lid on mine."

[Jikkah]

Miki knew he was pointing out at how she was reacting. She but her lip, holding down the urge to hit him,and let out a breath. "How long will you be keeping Light in here?" she asked more calmly.

[Hornz]

L shrugged, not really having a set time limit for Light being locked up. "As long as it takes to come up with a decision."

[Jikkah]

"And just what do you plan on doing, interrogating Light?" she asked, her tone completely sincere.

[Hornz]

"No, not really," L answered. "I plan on seeing if the killings stop or continue while Light-kun is locked up."

[Jikkah]

Miki nodded, but her face was still sad. "What if you could compromise... Like not having Light locked up and he had to, say..." she tapped her chin, then got an idea. "What if you two where connected at all times...?" she asked with a small shrug.

[Hornz]

L shrugged, considering the thought. He sighed after a few minutes of thinking. "That could work. I'll arrange for him to be let out."
