Arowin snarled slightly at his words. "The fool will never understand Emerald. Good luck, I'm not teaching him." she said and pulled Ace's reins so that he moved even further way from the stranger. Arowin had always trained every single member who joined The Hood but never had she come across someone so foolish, stupid and never had anyone shown her disrespect. Her one hand rested on her dagger and the other on her reins but she made no further move. He would one day understand, but much pain would be the only thing to get him there. "I say my village because that is where I was raised, amongst those people who I have watched die. They are my people, my family, the only things I have left." she said in and even but cold tone. She turned Ace and started riding back towards the hideout leading the three horses behind her.

Emerald nodded and watched Arrowin ride off. She agreed with her for the most part, and sighed again once she was gone. She looked over at Jack. "Well, looks like you'll be learning under my wing. I run a tight ship and I don't ever slow down, so I hope your a quick learner, Jack." She offered a small smile, hoping that despite everything they hadn't been too harsh on him. She hated starting things off with a bad start. "Come on, keep up." she told him and Frank before cantering after Arrowin. "First thing," she called over her shoulder to Jack. "Do you know how to ride bareback, as I am doing? If not, you need to learn. Sometimes tack won't be available to us, so you need to learn to be able to ride and control your horse under any circumstances."

Frank watched eargerly at the lads retorts and behaviour got him deeper into an entwined net of trouble. He smiled, he kind of reminded Frank of himself.
After Arrowins choice words he turned Diad to follow Emerald who had seemingly adjusted to the newest member of the hood. Diad springed, cantering forwards very collectively, head high and tucked in as he snorted, trying t bolt after Emerald. Frank gave the lad one more sharp look before pulling up his hood and letting loose the reins, Diad plunging forward with speed and power, despite his age and previous injuries.

Jack

Jack glared at Arrowin for a moment and then turned to Emerald, nodding "I can keep up with the learning" he said with a smile, and clicked his tounge, Geal plunging forwards after the other two horses "I have ridden bareback before, but not at full speed. I will need some practice but I am capable" he said smiling. Then he glanced at Frank, who hadn't said a word since his arrival. Maybe he's shy he thought with a shrug.

Emerald nodded and let Envy pick up a little speed. "Well then that's the first thing we'll be practicing after we eat. You need to be able to jump, gallop, fight, and shoot arrows bareback." She looked over her shoulder with a small smile. "Don't worry, it's not as hard as it sounds." It was then she noticed that Frank was next to her and she cast a grin over in his direction. "Race you two back to the hideout!" she called, still looking over at Frank.

Jack nodded, raising an eyebrow as he thought about jumping bareback. But he could do it. Smiling, he tapped Geal's sides even harder, and the horse bolted forwards, catching up with Emerald's horse. But Jack didn't know where he was going, and soon fell behind the two of them, deciding to follow instead of lead

Frank smirked as emerald egged him on "I would win if my horse wasn't at such a disadvantage!" he called with a light chuckle, Diad plunging along heartily but it was never fast enough and soon the old stallion grew weaker as they neared the hideout and Frank slowed him into a jogging trot, sitting deep in the saddle, panting slightly.

Emerald laughed and tightened her leg grip around Envy's bare sides, but kept her heels light so the stallion could keep up his speed. Soon though, Envy got ahead of himself and started bucking. Not because he was spooked, but because he wanted to let loose. Emerald laughed some more at her stallion's frantics and got him back under control. She could see the hideout now and slowed Envy to a trot as well, next to Frank. She looked over at him, smiling and panting as well. "Don't worry, you'll get me next time."she said, grinning, before giving a small wink.

Frank smirked "Yah, after you give me a head start" he chuckled breathlessly, patting Diads neck as the stallion nickered to envy, black eyes dull and tired as he finally slowed to his normal plod.
Frank sat up and regained some posture "So are we keeping the new guy?" he questioned with a smirk "I've always wanted someone to lug around my things" he joked half heartedly, voice sterner than usual and more serious.
