"AHHH!" Hazelstripe yowled. She then sprung up an pinned Nightpaw with her paw to his neck.

"Ack!" Nightpaw gasped. He writhed under Hazelstripe's weight.

As soon as Hazelstripe noticed it was Nightpaw, she jumped off. "Sorry, you scared me!" she said. "And that mouse." she added frusterated.

He bounded behind his mother. "When will she come back? Where is she? Can we go there?"

As soon as Hazelstripe noticed it was Nightpaw, she jumped off. "Sorry, you scared me!" she said. "And that mouse." she added frusterated.

Nightpaw stood up and shook his fur. "Sorry. I didn't mean to..." he mumbled. He tended to get nervous around the cats older than him.

"Its ok." Hazelstripe said giving Nightpaw a swift lick on the ear. "I can catch another." She added brightly.

Nightpaw blinked. "Okay," he said, not knowing what else to say. He looked around and spotted a squirrel. He crouched and pounced at it, killing it with a swift bite to the neck.

"Nice catch!" She exclaimed with a glow of pride in her eyes. We're going to have no problem with prey in leaf-bare.she thought to herself.

"Thanks," Nightpaw replied around the prey, his chest fur puffing up a bit.

"You go bury that and then lets catch up with Ashtuft." Hazelstripe told Nightpaw.
