Maya fell backwards and instead of stopping suddenly, as she normally would of, instinct made her role backwards. It was like everyone who'd died, everyone she'd cared of, Max, Lexi, David, Zak, it was like they had all joined together inside her and were helping her. She got far away and leapt up taking out an arrow. "Come on, Merideth," she whisper-snarled to herself, "you're taking a long time to die and I'm an impatient girl." She knocked the arrow and released, letting it slice through the air as it headed straight to Merideth's heart.

Shock showed in Angelina's eyes. She didn't know if the arrow would kill Meredith or not, but she threw her knife at Maya.

Maya rolled out of the way, got up and ran. She collected her arrows along the way while she got situated. Then, while knocking an arrow, she turned and aimed around. "Who to take first?" Maya, strangely, didn't point her arrow at Sara. When she did, she felt a jolt inside her, like she was scared.

{{ I don't think that Maya should have been able to shoot the arrow at Meredith. They are too far away. Sara just barely got her ankles. Cole and Angelica should have been able to get on Maya too. But I will let that slide. Not the arrow at Meredith thought. Also, Maya has killed many. Meredith is from district 1, she has been practicing this. }}

Sara froze. No one was running or moving. She slowly pulled out her knifes. Ready to lunge at Maya.

Meredith was only grazed by the spear, but it still hurt a lot. She made some little badges from her shirt. She tried to wrap it best she could. The arrow Maya shot didn't even get with in ten yards of her.

Cole had Meredith's arrows, and bow. Though he wasn't nearly as good as Meredith and Maya. He still had his knifes. But he notched an arrow too. Aiming at Maya.

Something was battling the hopefulness inside Maya. She was losing. "Four against one," she said to herself. "What did you think?" A single tear suddenly fell slowly down her cheek and hit the ground. Pictures of her little sister, Max, David, Lexi, they all flash through her eyes. And then another picture came up. It was blurred but strangely enough, it seemed to looked like Sara. But these pictures gave her hope. "I will go down dying," she said to herself. "For Max. For David. For Lexi. For Liz." Her brain was still mulling over the picture of the girl and something clicked. "Don't kill her," was all she said to herself and then she looked up and stared at her enemies.

Cole looked at the others. " What? Guys I think Maya just cracked or she really is sad. Or she is acting." Cole said. said.

Sara was staring into Maya's eyes. "Maya..."

"Sara...' Maya's mind went still and images flashed through her eyes. Running away from Sara while laughing in a fake evil way. Her parents kissing them goodnight and afterwards they stayed up and talked. The day Sara disappeared in that truck...

Sara had flash backs. Playing games with Maya, sharing moments with their parents. And seeing Maya cry as a black mask was put over her eyes. And seeing her get smaller and smaller as she got father away.

Angelina stared at bother of them for awhile before realizing they had some sympathy for each other. "No!" She screamed, gripping her bow tightly. She knew she couldn't kill one of Sara's friends, but she wanted revenge for Tom.
