Anna saw Lunaris's injury and immediately turned green so she could tend to it. She shook her head. Curse that pond scum! The spears were poisoned! Nevertheless, she curled up on Lunaris's back and began to heal her. It might take several hours to get all of the poison out of her bloodstream, but within a few minutes, she would be able to fly, and once she could do that, she would live and be able to heal in flight. "Lunaris, you've been poisoned, but it's not deadly. It will take several hours to remove the poison, but in a few minutes, your wings will be healed and you can fly again. The rest of you head toward the sea. Devin can't swim in his battle armor, nor can he jump off a cliff and fly," she mindspoke to the other dragons. She then blocked her mind so Devin couldn't read it.

Sir Devin cursed at his misfortune. All of the dragons were in the force field except for the greater dragon, and he was flying too high to be hit. He sneered at the group of unlikely comrades and glared at the trees around him, which had had time to catch fire since he'd been standing here. It was getting too hot, so he calmly made his way back to the other end of the valley, where he hid in a mountain cave and began to plot his revenge.

Kiedan watched Shadow for a moment, his blue eyes following the elf dragon's movements. He swooped lower until he hovered just above the water's surface and then landed rather clumsily in the salty liquid. He swam a distance with his head above the water, his blue eyes still scanning the area for likely predators. Several curious dolphins swam below him, and a large pod of whales were lurking to one side, curious but not wanting to disturb the large creatures that they'd never seen. A school of fish swam before him, so he dunked his head underwater and grabbed ten or twenty in one swift move. He ate his lunch with gusto as he watched the antics of his elf dragon friend and the dolphins in the sea. He wondered for a moment if he would see any sea dragons other than Hawk while he was here.

When they landed, the Grand Archmage patted his friend's side and then used wizardry to help him get down. Once he was on the ground, he said, "Thank you, my old friend. I shall return later to show you some of the things I have prepared for our newcomers." He then went to his castle and down to the basement, where he had set up a temporary blacksmith's tent and jeweler's shop. It was a rather untidy affair, cluttered with experiments as it was, seeing as on normal circumstances, this area would have been a makeshift laboratory. Liquids were in bottles, solids were cluttered on tables, and semisolids were in floating balls that roosted near the ceiling. He went over to the large oven, which was heated at an extremely high temperature so that he could melt the silver and shape it into rings. He could do that using wizardry, but he found that doing it himself was much more fun, so he put the silver into a heat-resistant pan that he'd developed himself, and then left it there to melt while he shaped the seeing stones.
He shaped two blue, one white, and one green seeing stone, and when they were perfectly shaped, he checked them to see that they worked properly. The old wizardry enchantments that had been instilled in the stones long ago sometimes needed to be strengthened. "Show me Croner," he said to each of them, and in each of them appeared a large gray mountain dragon. He grinned and placed the freshly-cut stones aside and waited for the silver to finish melting. While he did this, he went to chek in the large seeing stone ball that he had developed to keep an eye on his enemies. "Show me Devin," he said to the large, aqua blue ball. A man in knight's armor appeared, hiding in a cave and muttering curses. He shook his head. "Show me Morgan Le Faye," he said, stating the name of his enemy's employer. An attractive immortal woman appeared in the seeing stone, her cold smile directed at someone below his line of vision. She's in the third circle again, plotting and scheming with that sister of hers, Naamah, the Archmage thought. What a horrible pair.
