"So are you okay with grilled cheese?" Eli whispered to Wesley, even though his sister's attention was on the twittering birds flying over head. "You can have anything in the kitchen, you don't just have to go along with my demanding sister." At the last comment, he grinned up at his sister. They had just reached his appartment building and set Lizzie on the ground, starting up the stair case to the last landing.

Wesley nodded at Eli. "I don't mind at all," she answered with a smile. She followed Eli and his sister up the stairs to the landing at the very top landing. Sam and Tilly ran ahead of the group playing tag with each other.

Lizzie giggled and ran after Sam as they entered the appartment. Eli headed toward the kitchen and started pulling out ingredients and a pan. He put butter in the pan and set it on the lit stove.

Sam barked at Lizzie smiling at her. Wesley walked into the apartment and followed Eli to the kitchen. "do you mind if i help?" she askd quietly, biting at her lip. She felt awkward in his clothing, but she would go get her own clothes later.

"Sure. If you want you can butter one side of each slice of toast from that stack." Eli pointed at the loaf of bread next to the stove on the counter with his spatula. Lizzie was dancing around the room, chasing after the animals. "Easy with the running Lizzies!" He said loudly towards his sister. He took a slice of buttered bread and put it in the pan with a slice of cheese on top. "When you have one done I'll take the piece. This grilled cheese of Lizzie's is lacking in that area." Eli commented to Wesley.

wesley nodded. "okay," she replied taking the loaf of bread and starting to spread butter on the pieces that they needed. she handed him one piece of bread that she had finished before starting on the other pieces for him. sam and Tilly both ran around with lizzie playing with her.

Eli took the piece of buttered bread from Wesley and put it on the half of a grilled cheese sandwich which was in the pan cooking. He flipped it over with the spatula. "Lizzie come and get your lunch. Would you like a veggie with it?" He asked his sister who came hopping up to him. "Umm. Peppers please!" She answered in a squeak. Eli flipped the toasted sandwich onto a paper plate and sliced it diagonaly and went to the fridge after he started another piece of bread going in the pan. He grabbed the milk jug and a red pepper. He sliced the pepper up into slices, placing them onto the plate beside the grilled cheese and poured the milk into a plastic cup for Lizzie. He set them on the table where she was sitting. Her legs kicking back and forth while she waited for her food. "Eat up." Eli told his sister as he went back to the stove.

Wesley watched Eli get his sister situated at the table with the grilled cheese, peppers and milk. She smiled. She enjoyed watching him and his sister. They were so sweet and she liked seeing how a real family would act. Wesley looked down at the bread in the pan. She had never cooked a grilled cheese so she wasn't sure when to turn it or whatever.

Eli finished the grilled cheeses and turned the stove off. He placed the sandwiches on plates then set them at the table for Welsey and himself. He sat down with an empty glass and filled it up with water when he sat down. He waited for Wesley to sit down before he began to eat.

Wesley sat down at the table when he put the food down. She looked at Eli and at his sister. She smiled slightly biting at her lip before starting to eat also.
