Monique was crying, slightly louder, now. She was shaking pretty bad and wouldn't let go of Jamie. "You don't know that!" She looked around and finally leaned her head on Jamie's shoulder, closing her eyes and shaking even more as the rumble of the tornado got louder.

Jamie wiped her tears away when she cried. "You're right. I don't know if we'll live or not. At least I'm hopeful about it," he said in a somewhat calm tone as he began to tend to the cut on her neck. He tore a small bit of his shirt and attempted to make the wound stop bleeding.

Monique clenched her teeth. "How long will this tornado last?" she whispered without looking up.

"Usually they don't last too long. Five minutes at the least, from what I know," Jamie said and soon finished cleaning up her cut. He sighed a little and held her close to his chest. His pounding heart was the only indication left that he was truly afraid.

"Least?" Monique repeated. "What about longest?" She was shaking pretty violently now, but wouldn't say anything about it.

"I'm not sure if you'd like to know that answer," Jamie muttered as he held her closer to him when he felt her shaking violently.

Monique opened her eyes and looked up at him. "Tell me!" She persuaded.

Jamie shrugged slightly. "When the storm's over if I had to guess," he said and looked out of the cavern's entrance. "I'm just thankful that we've found a safe place." He cringed slightly. "I hope everyone else is alright...Maybe the counselors got the campers to safety."

Monique shrugged. "Hopefully.." She said, staring out towards the cavern entrance where she could see the ongoing storm. "I'm going to go look.." She said.
