Jack relaxed, letting go of the hilt of his sword. So they knew her, that wouldn't be a problem. Talking about food, he was hungry, but said nothing. He sighed and patted Geal's neck. These people talked about him as if he wasn't there. "Oh well" he thought, ignoring their "lovey dovey" moment."Maybe at least there would be some nice people in their hidden territory. Well, thinking about it, he wasn't the nicest of people. He had killed five men... The sense of guiltiness invaded him again. Guilty for not having arrived five minutes earlier and saved Rosie, guilty for being... a murderer. He shuddered at the thought. How could he be? He had always been an innocent farmer, all his family had been innocent. There was nothing in his bloodline that...
Suddenly, a thought dawned on him. What if his never-spoken-of father had been a murderer, an outlaw? What if...?
The confusion in his mind grew more, till he shook his head. No, all his family had been farmers, only farmers. That was it. He was a killer, and there was no way back now.

Emerald had glanced over at Jack and noticed he looked very...well, conflicted. And was that guilt she saw? She wondered what could have him so distracted. "So, Cinderella, how'd you come to get on the King's wanted list?" she asked as she gathered up Envy's mane in her hands.

Jack

Jack was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard Emerald's voice. "Killed" he muttered "For revenge" he raised an eyebrow when she mentioned Cindarella " Does it really look like I wear glass shoes and my horse turns into a rat when it strikes midnight?" he shook his head, and was about to add something more but decided that it would sound very unrespectful. After all, he wanted to start on a high note with people who he would probably live with the rest of his life.

((It's half past midnight here. I should really be getting some sleep. If I go offline it will be because of that, sorry ))

Emerald nodded. "Hmm, killed for revenge." She pauses for a moment. "They kill your family?"she asks quietly, knowing that was why most people killed for revenge. "And no, you don't look like Cinderella, but I think that's what I'm going to call you from now on." she teases with a smirk. "Don't worry, it may change later on."

Rebecca
Rebecca blushed slightly at the complement and smiled. "Speaking of food." she said letting her voice trail off as she opened her basket and took out fresh bread with cheese melted over it. She gave it to Rebecca suggesting they had a meal with the stranger to get to know him. She also drew out a bottle of wine. "It's a pity I brought no cups but it will have to do. I am heading to the village to give the poor a few stakes." she said and bobbed her head in parting and disappeared again on her way to the village.

Jack closed his eyes "Yes" he said simply, images of the burning farm coming to his mind and the knights laughing at his dead family.
When Rebecca mentioned giving food to the poor, he smiled sadly. Jack new what it was like to go hungry, as he had been through it, but his aunt and uncle were always kind and spared their own food for him and Rosie, though it wasn't much. Thinking about food, his stomach rumbled, as he had hardly had food for five days. Smiling, and glad to have found people at last, he tapped Geal's sides lightly. " I can hunt" he said, showing his bow "But I do not know this forest, nor the prey that hides in these woods"

Arowin
"Good thing for you that you joined us then." Arowin said appearing out of the forest behind Jack. She laughed as he jumped slightly. She loved sneaking up on people and she and Ace where pretty good at it. Arowin then turned her attention to Emerald and smiled. "hey Em, a few guards decided to donate a few horses to our cause." she said with a laugh and glanced behind at the two bays and the chestnut tied to Ace's saddle. "Took some convincing though but they where just dying to help us." she said laughing until Ace gave a small buck. Arowin laughed calming him down and turned her attention to the new comer. "You willing to kill?" she asked.

Jack

Jack jumped slightly when another person appeared behind him. He nodded at her and then watched as the horses were handed over to Emerald. So it seemed like everyone killed here... he sighed, and frowned at Arowin's question.
"Yes" he said eventually "I don't like to, but I will if it means revenge against the king and saving myself and other innocent people, I am willing to" he nodded slowly.

Emerald smiled down at Rebecca and took the basket. "Don't worry about it, we can drink the wine later. Thanks so much, Becca." she said and then waved her goodbye as she went to go do her good deeds in the village. When Arrowin appeared, she grinned and gave a small laugh. "I'm sure they were. So willing to help, they'd die for you, isn't that right?" she teased back with another laugh. She then watched the conversation between Arrowin and Jack silently, then frowned ever so slightly. He was just a farmer's boy with some fancy sword skills. He didn't have the heart to kill, he just said he didn't like to himself. Would he be able to handle it? Or would he break just like Casper did? "Well you better learn to not care real soon, Jack." she said, her voice rather rough and she wouldn't meet his eyes.

Arowin
Arowin shook her head and sighed. "Then your hunting Jack. If you don't learn to kill without a second thought you are going to be dead before the first raid is done." she said thinking of Casper too. "It would be better if you left if you can't handle killing." she said slightly harshly but she had her reasons. Her hand went up to the back of her neck under her long hair and left the scar that she could never forget and then it shot back down.
