"Mark, lets go flying!!" my younger sister yelled. "You know I don't like flying ,Meagan." I said with a frown. "You never like flying!" My sister yelled and walked away. I sighed, why can't I just man up and fly with my eyes open? My friend, Alex, came walking by. He can make anything with nothing! "Hey , Mark, do you still have that flying problem?" He asked cocking his head. "Yeah, but I don't want to talk about it.." I said about to walk away. "Well then here," he said handing me a weird object. "I call them goggles!" He said wil a big smile on his face. I put the on my eyes. "Go try them out!" He said pushing me. "Okay! Okay!" I took flight. My instincts told me to close my eyes but i forced them open. They didn't hurt! They really work! I was so excited. Now I can fly with my sister!!

The goggles are
my eye’s main facility.
They are my eyes’. . .
friend,
armor,
and weapon.
They are my friend for
showing me the wonders of
the air.
You can stretch them to fit
your head.
You don’t want to expand
them too much,
or they will snap and die.
They are my eye’s armor.
They protect my eyes from bugs and dirt.
They let me see without getting my eyes red and sore.
They are a weapon, a slingshot.
They are an extension of my head
and a part of me like a close relative.
They are like glasses that help me see.
I will always use them today.
They are my eyes’ closest friend
I must have my goggles
Or I will lose my identity
They are who I am
They are apart of me
They always will be
And they always have.
