-Emerald-
Emerald heard the sound of footsteps, which in the forest was the slight shuffeling of dead leaves, but they weren't coming from the direction they were watching. It could of just been her imagination, but just to be sure, Emerald looked over her shoulder anyways. There was nothing there, but why did she get the feeling that something, or someone, was watching her? With narrowed eyes she turned back around, her bow string pulled back slightly.

Frank shifted uneasily in the saddle as he twisted round, blue eyes scanning the thick fog "Stay close" he hissed under his breath, bow aimed through the mist, something was out there and he wasn't best with bow and arrow, he'd now began to unhitched his mace from the side of the saddle, entwining his fingers around it's hilt as he lowered the bow and slung it over his shoulder. Frank then nudged Diad forward, trying to spook whatever it was out of hiding.

JackJack frowned, narrowing his eyes. Slowly, the mist began to clear, and he could make out the faint figure of a woman... yes, a woman. There were no female knights, and she carried a bow, so she had to be an outlaw. He sighed in relief, glad to be far away from the king's army, but his happy thoughts were interrupted by his common sense. She was aiming an arrow, and all tales told horrible things about these outlaws, though nothing guaranteed them to be true. Jack breathed in deeply and, still behind the tree, said:
"Good evening. It is strange to see people in this forest, I suppose you are an outlaw" his hand rested on the blue hilt of his sword, the one that the blacksmith had made for him as a present. He was now glad to have such a good blade by his side, in case he needed it.

Emerald nodded, raising her bow and pulling back the string all the way now. She was by no means as good as Arrowin was with a bow, but she didn't think going for her sword right now would be of any help. She nudged Envy with her heels and the stallion followed after Diad and Frank. His rider's emerald eyes searched through the fog that had suddenly come across the sunlit forest, and now was just as suddenly leaving. Good. She never really liked fog. At the sound of the voice, Emerald dismounted Envy, still holding and aiming her bow. "Good evening?" She laughed. "It's morning, fool." She walked towards where she heard the voice, and then stopped when she finally stood a few yards in front of Jack. She lowered her bow then, and put one hand on her hip, shifting her weight as she looked him over. "An outlaw? An outlaw? You, Mister, are looking at the leader of the Hood, friend of Arrowin Longstride one of the greatest outlaws that ever lived, and estranged daughter of Sir Guy of Gisborne. I am not just any outlaw. I am the outlaw."

Frank immedialty swung round to where the voice had come from, he frowned deeply, mace at the ready in his hand wiring for its ultimate blow, Diad prancing forward, snorting "Emerald, keep back " Frank called sternly, coughing slightly, body convulsing forward as he did so. He watched the movements before riding forwards, listening to Emeralds introduction with a smirk, his body however was tense, he didn't trust that voice but then again he never really trusted anyone "Okay Em, spare the lad your triumph" he said with a rough voice.

Emerald, on the inside, frowned when Frank started to cough again, though she didn't let it show on her face. "This fellow obviously is ignorant to who we are, might as well tell him." She replied with a smirk, swinging her bow over her shoulder and taking a few steps closer to Jack. "Besides, if he decides to run off he can tell everyone how he met me and lived to tell the tale. Not many other outlaws do, you know, so consider yourself lucky." She said to Jack, still smugly smirking.

Jack
Jack raised an eyebrow "Leader, then?" he asked "Well, it looks as if I have stumbled upon the right people" he whistled and Geal came trotting towards him. He smiled as he saw another man, and dipped his head in greeting. Jack stepped back, only to find the tree behind him, when the woman came towards him. He shook his head and narrowed his eyes.
"I am Jack, an outlaw myself. I came seeking your dwelling to join you. There is no need for you to attack me, and if you do, I know how to defend myself"
Although his voice was calm, he was tense, ready to react. His bow was raised, and his sword in reach so he could defend himself easily.

Frank sniggered lightly "defend yourself,? Really?" he droned "I've heard that too many times before" he added with a shrug "And the men that have said it never came back" he finished simply, voice tense and raspy "So you basically thought you could wander down here and look for shelter with us?" he added with a slightly offended tone "This I want to hear about" he said, getting a little protective over emerald.

Emerald smirked as she watched Jack back up, noticing how tense he was. She looked over her shoulder at Frank, a look in her eyes that said: I'll be fine, just trust me. "Put the bow down, Jack, and pick up your sword." She herself dropped her bow and unsheathed her own sword, still smirking. "Seeking our dwelling, eh? Wishing to join, the boy says! Well we can't be carrying around dead weight so lets see what you can do."

Jack
"Fine then" Jack said, disappointed by the hospitality of those people "I shall leave if you haven't got enough space in your primitive woodland home to welcome someone in need" he said arrogantly, trying to offend them on purpose. Really, he liked the forest, but these people didn't deserve any compliments about the place they lived. And besides, he was grumpy. Seeing his family killed brutally, hardly having any food for weeks and riding for five days in a sea of mist didn't precisely improve his mood. Jack swung on top of his horse, still ready to fight back if one of those fools decided to attack him. He tapped Geal's sides gently, and she moved on at a walk. He didn't even look back, though he wished he had been able to stay with these people. It had been his only hope.
Suddenly, he turned around as the woman spoke. So a fight? "Hmm" he said, looking around at the landscape as if he were thinking. As quick as lightning, he unsheathed Glamdring, and dismounted from his horse, ready to prove them what he was worth
