Leaf Fall nodded to Raven as she approached and then set out into the forest. He looked at Yuri, smiled again at the apprentice, and then turned to Jakei. "I was thinking we could catch rabbits today." He murmured. "Good exercise." He grinned. They had been best friends for a long time. Jakei smiled back and nodded. "Great." He said, bouncing. "I could use some running to cheer me up."

Jupiter padded beside Raven. "Does what Soul said worry you?" She whispered quietly, her beautiful eyes wide with concern.

"Moss is for soaking up water to give to those who cannot get up to drink for themselves. Also, if a fox's blood does not clot properly, eating moss can help." Shiko began to walk towards Ryuu, "We will go gather some moss now." She flicked her three tails for Hope to follow her.

Yuri relaxed as he heard the older fox wasn't annoyed. He walked up and sat down, staring at his paws so he wouldn't display anymore foolish behavior. When the patrol set off, he followed behind Leaf Fall and Raven.

Ryuu got to his feet as he saw Shiko approach, "We're going soon." he told Copper.

Raven glanced sideways at the chatty white vixen. "Yes," she replied, "Of course, but we'll pull through eventually."

Copper got up and went to sit beside Ryuu, glad to finally be doing something.

Jupiter nodded and then stayed silent for a long time. Concerns, fears, and wonders were swirling through her head like a misty river and she was unsure of the road ahead. Hearing news of the demons had also terrified her. Now her dreams would be plagued with their evil. She sighed silently and looked up to see her brother talking and laughing with Leaf Fall. Jakei never seemed to have a care in the world.

Leaf Fall slowed as he smelled rabbits and his ears pricked. Nose twitching, ears swiveling around his head, he led the patrol to a little clearing full of rabbits, nibbling on the grass. He looked at Yuri and Jakei and began to creep forward.

Yuri focused his attention on a fat brown rabbit, he began to slowly creep forward, hoping he would remember what to do while hunting rabbits.

Raven saw that they had stopped and she crept around the clearing, careful to make no noise. Her mind focused intently on the rabbits, she knew that she'd only be able to catch one, maybe two before the rabbits all disappeared into the undergrowth.

Hope smiled. "Okay. Let's go." She said, padding up to Shiko quickly. But her swirling mind was crossed to another place, far from about getting moss. Will we be able to find the gemstones? All of them?

Leaf Fall saw Yuri stalking a big brown rabbit and nodded to himself. That would be a good catch. His sharp eyes swept across the clearing until he spotted a black and white rabbit, good sized, and completely oblivious to their advances. He smiled softly and kept creeping forward. His paws made no sound at all, and when he was close enough to the rabbit, he raced out of the cover of the forest, reaching the rabbit quickly and biting it before it could escape.

Jakei saw Leaf Fall run forward and followed, moving at a very fast pace. He reached a doe rabbit and snapped his teeth down on it, killing it quickly. The remaining rabbits scurried and ran away in terror as the foxes descended.

Jupiter watched all this, still keeping silent. Her white pelt glistened softly in the sunlight and she saw her brother take down a rabbit. She smiled a small grin. Suddenly a small black rabbit veered towards her, blinded by terror. It practically ran into her paws, and she killed it quickly. She barked softly, satisfied that she had caught some food for the leash.

Shiko began to walk out of the den, indicating for Copper, Ryuu and Hope to follow her. She knew that the giant weeping willow tree by the stream would have plenty of moss under its large roots.

Ryuu walked behind Shiko, surveying the land intently for any sign of demons, bears or even wolves.

Yuri's heart was beating so hard, he wondered if the other foxes could hear it. He waited for the lead hunter's signal. When Leaf Fall ran into the clearing, he took off too. He leaped, landing clumsily on top of the brown rabbit, it squirmed under him, but Yuri's head was spinning. Luckily, his clumsiness led him to a good catch, for the rabbit couldn't escape from underneath him. He bit it, killing it instantly, but still a bit flustered by the unorganized display. He clearly needed more training.

When Raven saw the others dash out she ran forward, focused on the plump rabbit in front of her. The rabbit began to run when it saw the other foxes give chase, but Raven was too quick for it and she grabbed it with her mouth and snapped its spine before dropping it on the ground and running after another rabbit. She caught the second one the same way she caught the first, and by the time she killed it, all the rabbits at disappeared. She picked both rabbits up the ears and went back to the patrol, out of breath but pleased with her catch.
