I personally think the rarity of the new pets this year is annoying. I think there has been one rare this year, the feb. spider.
I think that there should be more uncommons and less really commons :!:

the people who have been around longer typically have WAY better pets, and not just because of how long they have been registered.
Ex: a january 2009 person registered for just that month has EXTREMELY better pets than 2010 people who've been registered for just that month. THe 2008 pets are better than the 2009 pets by quite a bit, because almost all the 2008 pets were rares or uncommons and rot just because of their "age,"- they grew up that way- so i'm frustrated

this really bugs me.

Actually most of the '08s and '09s started out as what would now be Commons or Very Commons, just like now - there were a few that started out extremely rare, and we'll probably see a few of those this year as well, but others were ridiculously common. I remember when you couldn't hardly even give away Camo dogs, White Wood dogs or Blue-faced Aztecs because there were so many of them available, whereas now there don't seem to be as many of those extremely common outcomes where in a litter of ten, nine would be one outcome. This month alone we've had three Uncommon dogs, and last month there were three Uncommon dogs and one Rare, so we're not doing too badly on that score. Add to that the chances of getting zebras and dragons and new players actually have it a bit easier than people who started in '09.

Don't worry - over time the pets available now will become uncommon or rare just like the '09s and '08s. ^^

It annoys me (no offence) that 'Unknown' is a rarity. It is rare or not!, you know?!

I understand it for the newborns, but I don't like it on customs XD
