Jos tightly wrapped his arms around Evelyn, smiling softly. When he saw the tears in her eyes, he blinked. "Evelyn...What's wrong..?" He asked softly. He hated it when anyone cried, especially when Evelyn cried.

Evelyn quickly wiped away a tear that streamed down her cheek. She hadn't thought he would notice her watery eyes. She shook her head at his question. "Nothing.. It's just that..." "Hey..." Josh said softly. He put a hand under her chin, lifting her head up so he could see her face. "Evelyn...you can tell me what's wrong...I won't be mad or upset..." He said softly, hugging her tightly. He rubbed her back softly, waiting for her to answer.

Evelyn looked up at him and repeated what she had said, except it sounded a bit more serious. "Trust me, I'm fine." She said, looking up and into his eyes.

Josh nodded. "Ok...If you say so..." He said softly and kissed her forehead. He smiled softly and hugged her tightly. "If anythin is bothering you...let me know..ok...?" He said softly.

Evelyn simply nodded. She hated it when people wanted to know something she refused to say. It always bothered her when others kept trying to get something out of her. She rested her cheek on his shoulder and sighed.

Josh nodded and sat down, pulling Evelyn gently with him. He pulled her into his lap and held her tightly, smiling softly.

Evelyn cuddled up against him, her arms were wrapped around his neck. She had her head resting on his shoulder, though her eyes were locked with his. Without breaking her gaze, she managed a small smile. After a few seconds she nuzzled her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.

Josh smiled and kissed the tp of her head. He rubbed her back gently, enjoying the timw with her. He rested his head on top of her's, listening to her breathing.
