So, for art class, we are required to make a detailed and valued sketch for a project plan. The next project is a painting project, and I would love to do the, I guess you can say "Typical flowers in vase painting". I however, do not want it to be typical. I want to have fun with it!
So what I want to hear is what flowers do you like in vases? Are there any flower combinations you think look great? Since we are in the Spring mode, feel free to chat about your favorite springtime flowers =)

xD My mother's a gardener, so I'm usually the one making bouquets.
For a springtime vase, maybe several yellow and white daffodils, with one or two red, pink or orange tulips, a snippet of baby's breath, and an few sprigs of young fern or honeysuckle. :3

Ooo I like the daffodil idea... and I was already planning on using Baby's Breath. (It brings back memories <3 )
The deep red honeysuckle would work well, too, since I plan on painting this for our house.

I love Delphinium(sp?)! It's so pretty in the light blue color. I love them so much, thou they're more like a Babies Breath plant. I love Water Lillies and Gladiolas, they're really pretty, but not in Springtime Arrangements. My mum used to be a Florist, so I kinda know a bit.
I think springtime would look lovely with light colored yellow Daffodils, some light blue (or dark blue if you want something bold) Delphinium, Babies Breath, and possibly some violets of a light purple-ish color. If you need a filler, maybe you could paint some Goldenrod in there, because that's what they're commonly and mostly used for.
Hope this helps! ;D

Thanks everyone ^_^
My house is filled with warmer colors, like browns and golden yellows. Deep reds look nice too. (Just to give everyone and idea).
When I finish the painting, I'll have to post it here! =D
