Coydog

Iakov took off running without her consent, silly dog. He wasn't far yet, so she let out a shrill howl as a way to tell him to stop. " Iakov! Are you stupid, thinking I would follow? There is nothing to talk about. " She trotted up towards the small dog, her face was veiled with irritation at him. Iakov had gotten comfortable around her, too comfortable. He didn't show due respect anymore. The small dog had stopped up ahead, turning his head to stare back at her charging form. Once in range Coydog picked up speed, thrusting her body towards his smaller one. She dipped her head mid-lunge and formed a gaping snarl with her mouth. She never stopped moving, but did end up leaving a long scratch mark inflicted by fang on the corgi's head. He looked somewhat stunned, but also looked like he had been expecting it.

" Iakov, don't order me around. You forget who the alpha is. I do think we should leave here, though. It's rather drafty in this room. " With that Coydog began her walk, lurking off down the hall. This time it was her turn to leave without asking.

Iakov

Blood dripped into Iakov's left eye as he galloped behind Coydog. It had taken him a moment to regain his mind, her sudden attack had certainly left him stunned. In fact, he imagined himself looking like a complete idiot, mouth agape, eyes wide, pupils dilated from surprise. Sometimes he let his mind wonder why he was still in her pack. He was charged at a lot and warned to be more respectful even more often. He was short and not particularly fast; something that didn't help with food or hunting. The only thing he turned out to be good for was fighting and eating what little food was left.

As Coydog turned down the various halls he continued to think, eventually giving up. He had no idea why she kept him around, none at all. He had no choice but to snap out of his pensive trance, because every few seconds Coydog seemed to turn in to another room or corner. Iakov lost track of her for a few seconds, in fact, since her walk was so much more extended than his. The blood that smeared his face wasn't helping him concentrate on her, either. Finally, though, he half-way ran in to her. She had stopped at the balcony, observing the dogs that loomed on it.

Mutt was so interested in the humans below that it took a second longer than usual for him to feel eyes burning into the back of his head. He hopped down from the wall, turning mid-drop to face Coydog. Almost immediately, he cracked a grin. "Why hello, your highness," Khena greeted the alpha with a mock-bow, every movement he made relaxed and smooth. "To what do I owe the pleasure of such a visit?" The male chuckled, tongue hanging from the side of his mouth.

Annie ----->

Apparently, someone had misbehaved. Atleast, that's what the kangal thought when the scent of blood found it's way to her nostrils. Annie reluctantly brought her slow walk up to a lope, making her way to where she thought Lakov was. Being the omega, Annie almost never sought out the alpha. She preferred to side with the corgi than risk Coydog's teeth.

Coydog let a snarl slip through her teeth, but her threat wasn't yet serious. She narrowed her amber eyes with displeasure, she wasn't exactly fond of speaking to other pack leaders. She couldn't treat them the same as her own pack members, or usually. " Watch your tongue, cur. " She lifted her head high in some sort of self-proclaimed majesty. " I'd hate to have to go against what I like to follow and attack your pretty little face. " She smiled some sort of crooked snarl in return to him. The sarcasm she had spit out was so thick that it could probably be rung out of the air.

She shot her glance to Annie next. " You're a good dog. These are the bad examples, dear. " Coydog lifted her paw towards Khena's direction. "And I hope I'm not...interrupting anything? "

Iakov moved over to Coydog's side, taking his imaginary place as her right hand dog. Too bad he was on her left. Coydog seemed occupied talking, so he took the advantage to wipe his face with his paws. It didn't do much good, he just smeared the blood, but at least it had stopped flowing for the most part. He was almost too occupied with his cleaning to notice Annie step up next to him.

" Does it look too bad? I can't see up there. " He took his paws from his head, hoping she wouldn't reply with a 'Oh, it's horrible!'. " Same old reason, disrespect. " Iakov was speaking rather quietly. Although Coydog was talking already, it would be a bad thing to let her hear what he was saying.

Whether he was brave, stupid, or suffering from a lack of common sense, nobody knew. However, all three could be used to describe his response - to throw back his head and laugh. The sarcastic insults had sailed right over his head, and Khena even went so far as to begin to wag his tail. This was entertainment, his main source of fun being Coydog's attitude.

"No, no, not at all, hybrid," Another laugh, followed by a quick 'look over here' gesture from the alpha, a quick side-nod. "The humans have been horribly busy this morning, I see. I was observing them," He explained, justifying his actions with a sharp nod.

Annie ----->

The kangals ears twitched once she realised she was being spoken to, though not by Coydog. Once Coydog had finished speaking, the youngster thought the best response would be a nod, but since Khena was using that action to mock her alpha, she decided to tilt her large skull instead.

Peering down at Lakov, Annie couldn't help but produce a small smile. "The reason never changes, does it?" She mused, whispering in the hopes that she didn't disturb the alpha canines. "It doesn't look too bad, Lakov, I promise you. You've probably had worse than that... Scratch," Annie stifled a giggle as she stretched out and lay down on her stomach.

Hybrid. Coydog knew exactly what she was, it had never been any secret. She wasn't some story book drama dog, she wasn't deathly ashamed of the fact. After all, most of the dogs here were hybrids of their own in some way. But for some reason, the word had always irked her.

" You mutt-face, you best as watch what you say. I know alphas are supposed to keep some sort of clouded peace here, but I have no problem bending that little rule. What would I do first, maybe rip that wagging tail of yours off? " She began to snarl again, mixing her words with growling sounds. She stopped, though, as she noted what he said last. Her eyes opened a bit wider out of curiosity and she pushed her ears forward again.

" Busy? Hm, maybe Iakov's story has something to it. " Coydog trotted up to the ledge of the porch, intently staring over the edge. " So what have they been doing the most, hm? "

Iakov couldn't help but snicker a bit at her response. " I suppose it doesn't, not for me at least. I don't know why I'm still around, to be honest. " He lifted his paw back to his forehead after he spoke, rubbing his face a bit more. " And I'm glad it's looking alright. I should probably stop rubbing it. "

Iakov tilted his head in a bit of confusion only he could sense as Annie flattened down on the porch. She seemed so relaxed, being able to lay. He would have felt much too vunerable doing such a thing, he almost always stood. After all, you never know when you need to move or dodge something. Even worse, with his legs, it was hard to run. So he was always alert, but even that failed him sometimes. He loosened up a small bit and sat down, but didn't dare to shift in to any less tense pose.

Personality:Rowan can be seen in a few different ways. He's often looked upon as mysterious, sarcastic, quiet and aggressive.He is, one heck of a rebel- no doubt about that. No one really owns him, and he's got no "rank". He just does what he can when he can, though he is clever and constantly finding things to do. He doesn't like to be forced to do things, and if he is commanded at without reason, he'll snap.
On the other hand, he is really a sweetheart, and is very considerate and thoughtful, despite his tough exterior appearance. When first met, Rowan is sarcastic however, and throws remarks around every now and then, but he isn't always that way.He is however a bit of a hot head. He can snap if something is wrong, or if he's just plain out annoyed. Usually, when Rowan is pushed to far, he can get a bit aggressive. He doesn't mean to harm anyone without a reason, but sometimes he just snaps and gets edgy as well as aggressive. Those who know him, know not to push his buttons, or he'll pop...well, more like explode.
Rowan is also very defensive and protective towards those he truly trusts and loves, so if you manage to earn his trust, then you can be sure he's got your back.Sometimes, Rowan has a quiet side, which you will see when he is first met.
However Rowans got a deeper side, aside from the hot headed, sarcastic, tough looking dog everyone thinks he is. He is a sweetheart. To his trusted friends and those he loves, he cares very much about, but with others, he is wary- actually make that most everyone. He is wary of most everyone, unless he thinks its alright to put a little trust in you. Rowan is often hesitant when it comes to wary situations and doubts himself every now and then, however, he's got a big heart, even though it isn't noticeable at first. He is considerate of others and puts them before himself, though this can sometimes be a good and bad thing. Over-all, Rowan is looked upon as a non-approachable, hot headed dog, but really he's got a softer side, that just needs to be found. A bit like a tough looking teddy bear, if that fits. He's got a big heart even though its not noticeable at first. To his friends and family, he's got their backs, and once you get to know this dog, and he trusts you, then he will stand by you.
When it comes to the ladies, Rowan can be a real ladies man, always quick witted, slick, and smooth with his remarks. He has a slick air about him, though when it comes to the girl he loves, he'll do anything to show her he cares about her. As much of a "ladies man" as he can be, he will always stay true- and can often be quite romantic if given a chance.

History: Rowans history has been pretty crazy, though it wasn't completely unreal- since really this stuff could happen to anybody-- just full of various events that have shaped him. He was sold to a family at the age of one month, so he was pretty young. Unfortunately the family could not keep him as long as they had intended and took him to the shelter only to get a smaller dog. He stayed in the shelter long enough that he needed foster care. Luckily for him, he was one of the few that the shelter did not put down. He switched homes many times, a total of four, before until he ended up at the shelter again, and by this time he was just one year old, and a bit sick of being moved around.
He was taken in by the police department and trained only half way to become a police dog, however that didn't last long, since at two and a half years old, he injured his back right leg. After this he was taken back to the shelter however, but after the next family he was abandoned and they left. No one was left to care for him. His mother was a purebred Doberman, of a dark red and tan color, and very elegant, along with his father, who was one of the rougher dogs. However his father was killed by a speeding car. He belongs to no human now, and doesn't plan on it either. He is hostile, and prefers not to be with any human any time soon. Since then he has only been part of one small "alliance" or pack before arriving here, and he always will say he left, but he was really not wanted there so they drove him out, also feeding into his temper.
3-5 Pros: Rowan is slick, and independent. Along with having a strong, tall build, he is also rather witty.
3-5 Cons: His temper, which leads to aggression, a bit unpredictable sometimes, and sometimes he can be a little too sure of himself.

His eyes, they are a deep golden brown color- very stunning and often lighter in color in the sunlight. He has a somewhat long muzzle, which is dotted with a pitch black nose, and his chest is broad. His tail is in fact, docked, and his ears are cropped straight upward. Rowan's fur is short and slick, soft to the touch, and the top of his head, legs, and ears, very velvety. His fur is a black and tan color, typical for his breed. He has tan markings over his eyes, his muzzle, and legs, and the rest of his body, including his chest, back, sides, tail and neck is black.
Eyes:Rowan's eyes are a deep golden brown color
Coat: His coat is slick and short, with the color of black and tan-red. Fully black, with tan markings on his paws, chest, muzzle, and above his eyes.
Height:Rowan stands tall at nearly twenty eight inches tall at the shoulder.
Fears: Losing someone he may truly care about, and he won't admit it, but fire is also something that causes him to become edgy.

As the mutt stepped up on to his back legs, he also turned his head to look down at the group of humans buzzing below. "Well, chica, they've been paying a lot more attention to the waste bins," Khena snorted as he hopped back down onto the floor, eyes drifting over to Lakov. "Growing in numbers, too," The tan male turned back and faced Coydog, an irritated expression on his face. "I fear they're going to grow bold enough to enter this place, our world, and ruin it," Whether or not this was true was irrelevant, Coydog was an alpha like himself and Khena knew it would be wise to share his findings and worries with her.

Annie ----->

Whenever two dogs of higher rank spoke to eachother, the kangal always found that she would become increasingly bored. She had been listening, but grew tired of it and ended up resting her head on her paws. "Do you think we'll have to go deeper into human territory for food, now?" She asked quietly, aiming her question at the corgi. She was afraid of humans, and while she would have no problem with going after one she would rather turn and walk away from them.

Coydog narrowed her eyes in disgust. " They dare to try and suppress us more than they have? " She threw herself away from the ledge of the porch, landing in one of the small puddles that usually got trapped on the surface. Without a care she sat in it, too irritated to be bothered by such a small matter. After a few seconds of being quiet Coydog turned back to Khena with a visage of rage and determination.

" Khena, listen to me. If any human dares to come in here, kill it. I know I hold no power over you, but they're trying to hold power over us. The only solution is to stand and fight. " Growls began to build in her throat, vibrating the fur on her neck. She let out a single, shrill howl and turned away. " They won't kill us. Not me, at least. "

She stopped moving quickly though, after realizing something. " Iakov was right. What to do for food, this winter won't be forgiving. Any ideas, Khena? "

Iakov perfected his posture by holding his head a little higher and tucking his tail to his side. He hadn't noticed his slouch. He kept his eyes and ears forward and intent, making him seem as if he knew what was what. But he couldn't help but widen his eyes as Annie spoke again. Iakov pushed his ears to his skull and let worry pull his head down. " I suppose it's possible. I wouldn't look forward to it...but then again, I wouldn't look forward to dying of starvation. If those humans have something to eat, I want it. " He spun around to face Annie as Coydog's sentence registered through his lowered ears. " Well, I suppose we'll see. "

Khena ----->

It was easy to see that the brute had no ideas to present to Coydog, but he tilted his head anyway, staring off into space with a thoughtful glaze over his eyes. "Coydog," He spoke loudly, tail ceasing to wag behind him as he took his role seriously for once. "Neither of us have authority over the other, but it would benefit both of us, and our dogs, to relay information and think up plans to force the humans back," He began to laugh, a deep, forced laugh that held very little humour. "I wouldn't know half the stuff I know if your little corgi friend didn't shout about it," That dry laugh came again.

Then, all amusement left his face and he seemed to glare at the floor, as if it was the source of their troubles. "I think..." He began, pausing for either effect or because he was hesitating to speak, even he didn't know. "We should either search deeper in human territory, or," Another pause, this time coupled with a sigh. "We make them leave. We take no excuses - they step one paw too close and we take that paw. It would kill two birds with one stone, food and less humans bothering our existence," He looked up from the floor, eyes trained on Coydog.

The warm, chocolate coloured eyes of the kangal never once lifted to take a glance at Lakov. She normally would have, but all this talk of humans was honestly getting her down. She didn't want to have to take human paws, no, she'd be much happier with some type of meaty scrap found on the floor.

Annie decided to remain silent, now, figuring that the confrontation in front of her was becoming serious. She could almost see the tension in the air; they were talking about their lives, for gods sake! Nobody did that with a light hearted attitude.
