(My Eagleclan apprentices, Wolfpaw, Starpaw, and Moonpaw (they're all siblings, and Starpaw and Moonpaw are girls BTW) are all in camp. Starpaw and Moonpaw are debating whether or not their mother Jaysong and Hawkstar will make it back.)

Ignis brought herself down to a crouch. "Who do you think it is?"

Jaysong purred happily. "Thank you little one. Right now, though, we need to focus on keeping you warm. Can you stay warm for me?"

"Shhhh," Jaysong purrs as she gently takes the kit by the scruff. "Yes darling, they will. If they don't, they shall answer to me, okay?" She tucks her chin close to her chest in an effort to keep Brownkit close to the warmth of her fur.

Ignis lashes her tail. "Let's find out!" She slinks forward carefully.

"Answer truthfully now," Ignis purrs. She brushes against Snyde, her fur touching his, as she seats herself near the tom cat's head. "I don't like liars."

Jaysong trudges through the thick snow, her motherly instincts screaming at her to find shelter and focus on keeping Brownkit warm. "Almost there," she purrs as she spots the camp.

Wolfpaw pricks his ears. He could hear footsteps, and smell his mother. "Mom?" he murmurs to himself, and dashes out of camp to a familiar figure. His mother was shivering despite her thick coat, and snow was frozen onto her fur.

Timberfur hears his kit's whisper and follows him. As soon as he sees Jaysong, he dashes to her, drawing his thick tongue over her matted fur. He saw a kit in her jaws, and felt sad that any kit should be caught in the cold.
