Beth quickly flew up into the sky, Micky right next to her. They shot towards Micky's home, where he had lived alone since his dad was called by a shadow wizard - an evil one...

Merr slammed the phone to the ground, and started cursing after his breath. "Dammit Z. I need that money, I've done my job...Now you do your side of the bargain." He picked the pieces of phone up from the ground and stuffed them in his pocket. His hand flew to his head as a sharp pain shot through his body. He snarled as he shifted.

He opened his eyes and tore off the remnants of his clothes. He raised his head and sniffed the air. He leapt across the roofs and climbed up the tall building on the outskirts of town. He smashed through the window and jumped across the office and into Z's office. "Good morning Z. I've come to pay you a little visit." He raked his claws down the wall, a loud screeching sound echoing around the room.

Harriet looked around, bewilded, and whispered something to Sasha. Sasha nodded and called out "See you later!" and as Harriet flew into the air, Sasha fusratedly tried to keep up on foot.

"Hey, hey!" Beth shouted at Merr. She and Micky had been flying over the town when they saw Merr climb in through the window in demon form. She knew he wouldn't be this conspicious if he was working, so they had flown down to investigate. "Merr! Don't do it! You'll regret it!".

Zan landed on the walkway at the door to her flat. She took the key from her pocket and, unlocking the door, stepped inside.
She dropped her bag on the battered sofa and collapsed next to it, breathing in the familiar smell of home.
She wondered what to make for dinner for Sasha and Harriet tonight. She wasn't sure what a half- devil and a dragon person would eat. And whatever it was, she probably wouldn't have or like it.
She slipped into the kitchen to make some tea, picking up a newspaper on the worktop as she put the kettle on.

"Merr!" Micky shouted, running foward to get inbetween Merr and Z.

Kat sighed. She saw Merr shifting, but didn't care anymore. More company for me in the underworld, she thought.
