He didn't want the human to know where they were going just yet, it was not normal for hobbits to go to Rivendell, and the letter had said to be the most quiet as possible about their mission "And may I ask your name?" he looked up at the woman, frowing

Minna chuckled at them, "StrangeHobbits, i could never tellwhy they were so different." she hummed, meaning no offence to the young masters. "I can take you to Rivendale if you want, it so happens that i was sent here by the king." she then sighed, she had no horse. But there was a simple sottion, she just had to wait a long time.

Tom bit his lip, looking around. They could definetly not afford to travel all on their own, especially with these strange beasts behind them, but he didn't know whether to trust her.
"Fine" he said after a while. "You take us to Rivendell, there are four of us" he signalled for his friends to come out "So when do we start?"

Minna smiled, "We start now." she then waited for the other hobbits to appear, it would be easier if they traveled together. But she would have to watch out for them and make shore they didn't hurt themselves. (WB)
