Yumiko watched as the rabbit's blood flowed from the gash on it's neck, soaking his paws. The fox kit tilted his head briefly before bending his head down. As he went his lips curled back to reveal his fox fangs, long and pointed at the tip. Yumiko sank his teeth into the rabbit's neck, feeling the warm body beginning to cool in his mouth. As he brought himself back upright he glaned 'round, ears up and perked for any signs of danger.
Silence.
With a muffled sigh, Yumiko shook his head and turned around on his heels. As he padded away from the killing sight, his pawprints left bloody smudges in the snow with every step he took. The fox kit broke into a trot, ears up and erect as he swiftly went. Yumiko ran his tongue across the rabbit in his mouth, catching a few scarlet droplets atop his tongue. His vision was clouded slightly by the animal's fur in his face and hunger gnawed at his belly as the tempting scents wafted up into his nose. This rabbit is for me and Fall to share. he thought, shaking his head.
By the time the den was in Yumiko's sight, the sun was well overhead. The snow melted slightly under the fox kit's paws, causing the wet ice droplets to slide in between his toes. Yumiko paused, grimacing, and shook out each of his paws in turn. As he did so, he sent wet snow clumps flying in all directions. Yumiko shook his head and slid into the den, dropping the rabbit at Fall's paws. "There you go." he barked, whisking his tail across the den floor.

Chiyo watched as the brute arose to his paws, dipping gracefully in return. "My name is Snaketoung." he greeted. As he moved, his chain rattled, sending a shuddering noise echoing through the trees. As the sound slowly died down into silence, Chiyo repeated Snaketoung's name over and over in head. His head suddenly snapped to the left of Snaketoung, watching as Calla tucked her tail in between her legs. The fae shrunk back, pressing her ears flat against her head in submission. "Chiyo..." she said nervously, fidgeting in her spot. Snaketoung looked from Calla, to Chiyo, to Calla again. "You know him?" he asked Calla, motioning his head towards Chiyo.
Calla nodded, her eyes briefly flickering to Snaketoung. "He's a subordinate." she explained, glancing at Chiyo subconciously. "It's still quite a low rank in the Pack, but he's one rank higher than me." At this, Chiyo nodded in agreement. He watched as Snaketoung nodded in understanding, yet confusion still clouded his scarlet gaze as he turned to face Chiyo. "Will you take me to your Alpha?" he asked, his voice edged with a tense note. At this, Chiyo nodded and whisked his tail in a friendly manner. "Of course I can!" he barked, though after a moment his gaze grew quite serious. "However, I must warn you that he's been in a foul mood lately." Sadness began to cloud Chiyo's vision and he looked up to the heavens. "He just lost the love of his life..."
Is Evan watching us now? Chiyo thought, tilting his head slightly. An aching hole opened in his heart and he sighed, lowering his head. He missed his other Alpha. All of them did. But out of them all, Jet must be having the hardest time. He loved Evan, with all of his heart and soul. He watched him die in his arms. Pity washed over Chiyo for Evan briefly, but he paused and shook himself out.
