Kaitlyn smiled. "Im Glad." And she truly was, he was a close friend to her, even though she had just met him. She would have felt bad if he got hurt, knwoing she was the one who offered to go eat.

He smiled, not really having anything to say. He was amazed that she seemed to care. Usually, he was either ignored or attacked. It was a truly welcome change.

Kaitlyn smiled and nerviously fixed a few buttons on her camera. "Soooo." She aded, not knwoing what to say.

"Urm..." He tried to think of a topic to speak about, but none came to mind.

"Well, then I guess were both Silent Sitters." She said jokingly, being a old joke from Ireland that mos tpeople didnt now about, meaning that they were both speachless.

Her words struck him when he was unprepared. His brother, who had always been the brains of the family, had gone on a lengthy exchange program in Ireland. At first, Laron had hated him for going and leaving him without his brother and closest friend, but when he returned, he taught him a lot there was to know. Laron stared at Kaitlyn, wide eyed and dumbstruck, afraid to speak. He wasn't sure if he even could speak at the moment.

Kaitlyn riased her eyebrows at him. "Laron, a-are you okay?" She asked, suddenly confused. She crossed her arms nerviously, putting her hand underneath her and into her coat, but not crossing them in a bad way, she just needed something to do with her hands, she was light with the gesture.

He shook his head, not in an answer, but to clear it a little. He had uncovered his left eye, though he didn't care at the moment. He tooled up to her, meeting her eyes, and murmured, "Yeah... I'm fine."

(edited "shook" in there. How does one miss a whole word when typing? My answer: Five hours of sleep can't do ANYONE much good.)

She noticed the movement of his hair, and glanced up quickly, before nerviously picking on her coat sleeve. She met his gaze head on, her hazel eyes a light color.

He wasn't sure as to what to do now. A fresh feeling of grief gnawed in his chest. With that, he also found hope. This girl was the first person in a long time to evoke any emotion in him, excluding the anger and frustration of dealing with his family's accusations.
