In any case, I find the longest going roleplays of mine don't have a specific plotline they just have a mini-plot with three or four different aspects to them. My longest going roleplay has had about 5 possibly 6 mini events and people loyal to the roleplay have helped me get 600 pages worth of posts... I find if there's lots to do people stay loyal.

I agree with you and ZippyZoo77 on the lack of effort issue. Sometimes even the RP owner is guilty of that, surprisingly. I think sometimes people just get in over their heads trying to run too many RPs or write in too many RPs, and they decide some are not worth the effort anymore. So I guess we have to find some way of getting them to choose to stay with our RP over someone else's.

We could bribe them with CS$!!

Just kidding! :)

I will look into your roleplay to get a better idea of what you are talking about. Sounds promising, if I can learn how you did it.

Yes, keep them entertained! Keep them guessing! Keep them wanting more! :)

Alright, this should be getting an actual thread tomorrow, but for now- here's the idea. If you for sure want a link through a message when the thread is made, you'll have to message me though...

Anyway, it's going to be open for 2-4 homosexual characters- two for sure [ one boy, one girl ], since me and my co-owner are both already making one. Everyone will be required to make one boy, and one girl, and will be allowed to make a third character of any gender.
Now, you are a group leaving a utopia because you are not really the norm. [ you possibly aren't happy, are homosexual/bisexual, or are crippled in some way ]. Anywho, you start traveling, not knowing where you are going. [ everyone will be required to make one of these characters ].
you will come upon a village, a town, and they will allow you to settle there. [ everyone is required to make their second character from here ] However, you will be made to work. Well, being from a utopia, you're very specialized in one subject and have never even seen livestock before. You came from a place where everyone was equal, and now it's near poverty. No running water, no electricity, no technology really at all. And you're suddenly allowed to make your own descisions.

You will receive more information on everything if you are interested once everything gets set up, but it promises to be a really good role-play that could last quite a while.

As for literacy- 10 lines minimum, per character. You are highly encouraged to write more, and I will actually be expecting more. However, you will have to post twice a week at least. So I want people who are dedicated. You will have to notify us of absence- one week without reply results in getting a simple reminding message- another half week with no reply to the message and you'll be taken off the list. If you notified us of absence you will not be of course. If you have been posting elsewhere during this time and we did not get any sort of notification, then you will not be allowed to rejoin.
I think that about covers what I can give right now :3

Oh, and we have plenty planned to spice things up just when it seems everything is starting to settle down, too :3

Would you mind editing your form out of that recent quoting, Rockpath101? ^^

Also, just a reminder, it is against the rules to quote forms guys! And no need to mini-mod, I will be naming mini-mod soon enough! Thanks!

Mm, I like lots of RPs... so this is a hard one. Though, fantasy has always been my calling.

Aurora Hendrix

Hate, Aurora supposed, was a strong word. It described murderers and child abusers, but not the petty thieves of the street. It described unthinkable horrors, horrors only able to be described with 'hate'. So when the prissy girls of her room ranted and raved, as they often did, about how much they hated the orphanage... well, Aurora just wanted to smack them upside the head. It was stupid, not to mention ridiculous, how they held onto such futile anger. Was it not simpler to release the negative feelings into the air, and watch it disperse as peace replaced it?

Apparently not.

Grumbling at the hour of which she had to wake, Aurora rolled out of bed and took a quick shower. She was lucky enough to have roused herself before many of the other girls; she didn't want to be stuck waiting for half an hour and be late afterwords. Roughly ten minutes later, Aurora pulled on some fresh clothes and combed through her hair. It was an odd color, somewhat silvery. Some nagging thought in Aurora's brain told her it wasn't always that color. That once upon a time it was a normal brown, one that wouldn't call too much attention to herself.

Hazel eyes dull, and her expression rather dull, Aurora scurried into the dining area, quickly getting her breakfast and hurrying to her assigned seat. She averted her gaze from anyone and everyone-- whether she knew them or not. It wasn't that she wasn't in the mood to talk; if someone spoke to her she'd reply as easily as always. No, it was merely that she had something else lingering on her mind. For some reason, she couldn't shake the feeling that she didn't belong. That the world didn't mean for her to be in this day and age, but yet... but yet here she was, alone with these odd feelings.

It troubled her.

For the first time since starting her breakfast-- which wasn't eye candy in any way-- Aurora looked up. She had long learned to trust her instinct, to trust her gut, and that feeling-- that urge that blossomed from in her heart and through to her fingers and toes, was telling her to look. To look for the person in the same boat as her, whether he realized it or not.

I kidnapped this post from one of my 1x1 RP's. >:3

Any semi-lit/lit RPs you have~
I've made a couple, but they died. I might try making another, when an awesome idea comes to mind. ^^

Guys, please stop advertising your role-plays. This is not the place for that. If you MUST advertise, simply post your plot idea, and ask if there is any interest. Quit linking and directly advertising to you roleplays, please. Thank you!

Edit:
There have been some question as to what I mean by this, so please allow me to clarify...

Smamm wrote:
I say this because there is a whole other thread dedicated to roleplay advertisement. This thread is not for that, and too many people are treating it as such. It's not so much that I don't mind people asking for a few members to join or something that was discussed on the thread, but it's how some of the members are going about it.

Many of them are just posting up a link and say "I just made a ____ rp! Check it out and come join! I need ____ more spots filled". No, that is not acceptable. If you did not even discuss the roleplay on the thread and are suddenly asking for everyone to join, that is advertising that should be taken to the "advertise your roleplay" thread.

However, I don't mind if people post up the plot line and ask if anyone would be interested in that roleplay. That, and people develop plots on the board, and then decide to make a thread if there is a select amount of interest. In that case I don't mind them linking, so everyone who helped contribute and etc can find the thread. That is fine

Does that make sense, or am I being too vague?
