I didn't notice Aaron creep from the room and into ours; I just kept talking to Audrey. "They killed Reagan's mom..." I shook my head in disgust. Reagan was, as of now, one of my best friends. To think someone would take such a vital thing from her life was horrible.

My eyes fluttered open, and my head still hurt, even after the nap. I yawned softly and blinked, gazing around tiredly. Aaron was in the doorway, looking around at something.

"That's horrible..." Audrey said solemly, her head drooping slightly. There was a short pause. "Me and Hiro have reason to believe they were responsible for the deaths of our parents as well." she said, not looking up from the ground. "Did they take anyone away from you?" she asked cautiously.

Aaron was so silent you wouldn't know he was breathing unless you put your ear to his mouth. He watched intentively, only looking back for a few moments to give Reagen a quick 'goodmorning' smile.

"My parents and sister," he said quietly, running a hand through his hair.

Reagan offered a smile back, then walked up to him curiously, staying silent.

"I'm so sorry..." Audrey said sadly. She wanted to hug him or hold his hand or something, but she couldn't bring herself to. It would just lead to a long awkward silence.
