Hazelstripe's ears went up in suprise. She turned her head and tried to imagine, but couldn't. "I can't. Why would you imagine?" she asked.

Ashtuft looked at her in surprise. "W-Why not...?" He jumped to his paws.

Hazelstripe's fur stood on end. She then calmed herself and her fur lay flat agian. She then answered calmly, "It might not be what you think. Also, who would want to be leader? You will always be the one that is need to calm someone down, you will have to announce someone's death,and even when a great danger has come upon us, it will be on your shoulders to save the clan."

Ashtuft shook his head, "I-Its not like that.." He gasped at the she-cat's simplicity. "B-But everyone in the clan looks up to you, your their inspiration. With out a leader there would be no clan!" Ashtuft protester, his eyes sparked.

Hazelstripe thought about what he said for a heartbeat or two then replied "I suppose your right. When I was an apprentice I always wanted to be like Ravenstar, but now I know more of the responsibilities... it scared me out of it..... and I don't want to do that to you. Thanks for reminding me. You just gave me that old spark of enthusiasum that I had when I was an apprentice."

Ashtuft laughed and tackled the young warrior, "You need to loosen up!" He let out a mrrow of laughter.

"Maybe I do!" Hazelstripe said. She then tossed Ashtuft off of her and put her paw to his neck. "Ha!" She exclaimed triumphantly.

Ashtuft squirmed beneath the she-cat's weight, purring. He thrust up his hind-legs and gently batted at Hazelstripe's belly, "Yes, you do!" He laughed, his blue eyes sparking.

Hazelstripe laughed and batted at his muzzel.

Purring Ashtuft flailed his grey paws.
