Alex smiled. "I could get it for you for nothing. He owes me a big favor."

Grace stared at him for a bit, a kind of you're not serious look on her face. Then she shook her head, eyes switching to the floor. "No, really, it's okay." she mumbled.

Alex smiled wider. "No, I'm serious. I could get you any type of bike you wanted." He got his Harley and started it up, the engine purring like an over-sized house cat. "Come on. Hop on. Let's go."

Grace slid on behind him, tucking her long black hair behind her ears and smiling, nodding. "Let's go." She agreed, and wrapped her arms around his waist carefully.

Alex looked over his shoulder and tossed her a grin. "You know, darlin', you can hold me tighter. I won't break." He laughed and backed the motorcycle out of the parking spot. He released the clutch and the motorcycle shot forward. In seconds, they were zipping down the highway, going in the direction of Sallie's. About ten minutes later, Alex pulled the motorcycle into a free spot in front of the town's diner.

Grace laughed, flashing perfectly white teeth as she dug her elbows into his side with surprising strength. "Don't bet on it." As the motorbike picked up speed, she found her grip loosening slightly rather than tightening and laughed again out of pure exhilaration. Riding- or driving… or just generally going fast was one of the things she loved. Before the bike had fully stopped she slid off the back, landing in a crouch and smoothing her windswept hair. "Wow."

Alex hopped off and gave Grace a huge smile. "I know. I was gonna do some wheelies and stuff, but I figured that was a no." He walked over and helped her up. In one motion, he slid his arm around her waist. "Have you ever eaten here at Sallie's?"
