I smiled, "Why did he ever stop?" I asked, turning to look at her. Maybe all dogs weren't that bad...

"He got sick and started to wander farther than he should, so my owner kept him inside. I got lonely without him, so my master got a tabby kitten and named him Nelson. He slept on my back or on the sill of the barn window." She whinnied.

I chuckled. I had only seen a kitten once! It was a few days after I had lost my mother. I had been wandering about a bit too close to human civilization when off in the distance I saw a gray bundle of fur. As I approached it the kitten began making a strange sound. Meowing, i believe it was called! It had big brown eyes and a stubby tail. But I had heard a human and ran off before I could get close enough to the kitten. "Was he nice?" I asked her.

She smiled. "Yes. He sat on my back and licked my mane while I grazed."

I laughed, how strange!! "You use to live on a farm! Was it nice?"

Architect bobbed her head. "Yes...my master's daughter used to ride me in jumping competitions. We won a lot of blue ribbons. Actually, we were in the finals when I got lost."

"You got lost? How did you get lost?" I had never heard Architect speak of her past.

She nodded. "A storm robbed apart the barn and lightning set it on fire. I spooked and ran. After it cleared, I didn't know where I was. A few days later, I was herded up and brought here."

"Oh." I said. So Architect didn't want to be out here? I wondered if her humans were looking for her.
